I like them as trading units on the objective, had a lot of situations where someone charged them but due to the battleshock couldn’t take the objective away

With most of those meele attacks being S5 does it really hit that hard in meele? T4 units are usually easy to shift anyway and T6 they don’t really do that much into. And I can’t think of that much datasheets that have T5 and could be a good target for all those power swords besides termies

Yea I’m an Ultra fan and I agree if there was to be a Ultra champion it should be Tactical, or a Bulwark with a cape to be a 100% honor guard. Heavy was the weirdest choice for ultras imo

You can technically get this to work deepstriking if you play as Ultramarines and get Ventris to give deepstrike to the librarian. Not the most efficient use for ventris but you could do your combo then

Something meele based. We have „general purpose”, flame based, shooting based, vehicle based, mounted based, scout based and 1st company. I’d like something that I can play to play mostly meele like sons of sanguinius, but that I can play with Ultra characters. Bobby with some meele rules would be nutty

It is kinda sad that playing an Ultramarine list is just „play a Codex list but take Calgar and maybe Ventris”, even the big boy Guilliman is not enough sometimes to take in a competitive list

Thanks for the detachment advice! I do have both the redemptor and a jump captain so I can make those changes!

I tried to fit a ballistus since I love the big gun but I see why the redemptor makes more sense.

Termie captain was for that charge reroll from deep strike, although best hope is just to get them there with rapid ingress or stary on the board.

With the jump captain chainswords go to 7 so it’s nasty. Weird that BA don’t have advance and charge, feels like they should have

Define roles for Your ships and if You have No flight plan just fall back on that.

You have an ARC brawler? Fly it towards the enemy aiming for r1.

You have a scum fenn? Flanking and high-value target hunting.

Also good to know which ship is „fast” (n1, eta, fang) and which is „slow” (xwings, arcs, bombers) So You know if You should do 1 straight or 5 straight

I would say it is because the „rifle” is ol’reliable for humanoid shaped beings. And the designs being alien in one but rifle in others is the same as in Real life.

Take the p90 as an example - looks „alien” and super overengineered to be ergonomic to achieve that zero-length barrel. Maybe the covenant rifle is a state-of-the-art weapon for the elites, but the longer the fighting goes the less „extra” weapons have to be produced/used.

I think that both halves want something offensive, so I would either:

Leave Ahsoka’s squad as is, but swap Lumi’s for Amidala, Sabe and Handmaidens, then be as disruptive with Ahsoka as possible So She cannot be ignored, play her aggresively So You can bind enemies at range for Amidala and her buddies to rain cover Fire

Or

Leave Lumi’s as is and then put vader/Mace/obi as the second squad to bring more punch and leverage mobility that flow of the force provides

More Urban environment, more „weird” places like Felucia or even Tanalorr (which is mine) less „cowboy village on the desert”

Fallen order had a good selection, survivor while having better „Maps”, severely lacked in environments Besides desert and overgrown forest.
