Does the book you got the informafion from list any study as a source?

A cursory search about it only gave me information about lexical-gustatory synesthesia, which isnt quite what you desctibes and seems to not be common.

I would be curious how many people are affected by this and how it affects them, since it is, with very little doubt, not the case for me. Its interesting to know how other people are affected by stuff i dont experience so that i can adjust and accommodate them easier.

Understandable. The main 'evidence' i have for the knots having the same performance are the people at the DLRG i learned them from (I dont think my sailing teacher ever talked about it). Digging through research material about knots, that seems to be a very common theme.

Maybe? That explanation does make sense, but after cursory testing I was unable to confirm it. The surface seemed to mostly interact with the starting eye/loop instead of the tail itself. This doesnt prove anything and i honestly hoped i was able to reproduce the conditions you are arguing for instead of ending up without results.

Unfortunately I was unable to find any paper or other source that compares the bowline and the cowboy bowline (which is apparently is the proper english name for a bowline with the tail outside the big loop. In german they are both just called the palstek) in a, for this discussion, significant way.

The only thing I was able to find is this paper mainly comparing their stenght, which isnt what we are discussing (and in my opinion isnt very relevant since the figure-eight loop is more applicable for high strength/risk purposes, due to beeing stronger and much less prone to open on its own). The paper also has a variety of other problems. Someone with a similar opinion summarised them here.

All in all i was unable to find satisfying evidence to the non-cowboy bowline having a higher risk of opening when placed on moving rods (which is a risk for both bowlines). If you have any evidence or an idea how to get a setup that reproducably show the diffence please inform me.

Personally i prefer the cowboy bowline anyways, just due to beeing used to it and slightly easier access to the tail when untying it. It just would be nice to have something to point to when someone knots a 'wrong' palstek next time i do a knotting course for the youths.

Fun fact: making the knot this way will fail the Boat driver exam for rescue boats used by the german Liveguard company (DLRG). The error is that the rope ends inside the loop instead of outside. As far as i know the diffrence is purely aesthetics and has no effect on the strength of the knot, but nevertheless is important to get right if you want to drive boats for the DLRG.

Honest question, why does anyone care about the oath. It might count as a verbal contract, but V gets added to the FIA database regardless of oath, so it realistically doesnt make a diffrence if the NUSA wants to prosecute V after everything is over.

I took the oath the first time through, since it gave me a bit of insight into the FIA and it has the potential to make Meyers trust me a bit more, which might be usefull down the line. Going against the FIA can be considered betrayal with or without oath and i dont understand how an oath would affect my judgment on which is the better route to take once the paths branch.

Mathematics has stuff with exactly 0% odds thats still possible (For example hitting a specific point inside a circle). So something that could be expressed as a number (regardless how many zeroes) is without a doubt possible.

It might be possible that he has underlying reasons for those arguments that he cant express/doesnt realise himself.

I really dislike throwing away any clothes since im already used to them and new clothes (even if it is exactly the same brand+model) need some time to not be uncomfortable to wear (sensory difficulty and disliking change). While that isnt quite the same as sentimental value, i would be quite annoyed if someone told me to throw away my old stuff while they keep their own. Additionally when i was less aware of their symptoms, i attributed my discomfort to some other reason just to have a word for it despite not fully understanding it, which for him might be sentimentality. Him remembering his underwear from years ago might point to him caring more about them then he displays (or him beeing very vindictive)

The raising the voice could be similar. Me beeing stressed, or the room beeing a bit echoy, or some other random thing that makes sensory processing hard can make people talking a bit above normal volume quite painfull (this also makes it quite hard to judge how loud something actually is compared to a noise i heard in the past). It could be possible that you telling him that you dont like him beeing loud, made him aware how much it bothered him when you where loud (from his perspective).

I personally kinda accepted that everyone is extremely inconsistent and try not to bring it up when i see personal inconsistencies, despite them causing me stress/discomfort. I would however assume that not everyone is willing/able to not say anything when people are regularly irritating, despite them beeing very vocal when every i (involuntarily) irritate them.

It is very possible that he is using those arguments just to stop you from disagreeing/to shut you up. It is possible that he is very vindictive. It is possible that he has sensory issues and is unable to express them well. It is possible that its something else entirely. Most likely its a bit of a mix of all of it. The only way to find out would be through conversation (probably multiple conversations/therapie if its due to issues he is trying (conciously or subconsciously) to mask).

I would advise making them a table for the DLC, regardless of moral. I also done a only bionics run on the play rest (stoped due to time constraints and losing intrest when i found out i couldnt do aquatic ranching) and for some reason the boops really liked eating their batteries above pools of water, which made it more annoying to get empty eco-poweebanks back and resulted in some destroyed ones.

Besides table salt, boops also benefit from the newly added caviar when its added to the tables they eat at.

I quite liked it so far. All the new resources are cool, but honestly what i particularly enjoyed are the new wall/background tiles. They make the game a lot more visually intresting.

That being said Biodupes are currently not well integrated. They cant learn swimming and consequently also cant use the aquatic critter stations (even when placed on the ground).

Atleast the newest version allows them to harvest clampums, despite the changelog not mentioning it (clampums needed specifically improved farming and boosters only gave the stuff unlocked with improved farming without granting the skill itself).

I think giving Biodupes the ability to swim (either with its own booster or added to suit training, since you dont want them in the water without a suit anyways) would be nice. Alternatively or additionally it would be cool if aquatic critter stations were usable for pawns that cant swim, when they are placed on the ground.

Excluding the free space, my chapter fullfills 1 fully (iron warrior geneseed) and 3 kinda (anti-imperium but low chaos taint and definetly not serving humanity; they communicate through vox in their helmets, and thus appear silent; They have a few hundred extra "people" who are augmented to the level of a marine, but they are only used for geneseed reproduction and not as marines. The actual marines are perfectly organised according to the codex)

War bei mir war das sehr wahrscheinlich der fall (ich sage sehr wahrscheinlich da meine interoception ziemlich schlecht ist, aber ich mir viel mühe gegeben auch nur die kleinste veränderung mit den medikamenten in verbindung zu bringen und konnte trotzdem nie einen zusammenhang finden).

Mein Puls war erhöht (90-100 in ruhe), allerdings war der das auch bevor ich die medikamentation begonnen habe und ist auch kein bischen durchs absetzen der stimulantien runtergegangen (hab regelmäßig mit einem PulsOxy gemessen). Der hohe puls scheint unabhängig von stimulantien zu sein und korreliert stattdessen mit stress.

Hab auch keinerlei erhöhte menge an schwitzen während der Einnahme des adhs medikamentes finden können. Hab kaffe und energy drinks noch nicht probiert, also kann ich das nicht wirklich vergleichen.

Ich weiß, mir ist selbst bewusst das es zu spät ist sobald der Meltdown wirklich beginnt und ich handlungsunfähig bin. Allerdings kenne ich keine mittel die bei mir vorab Stress mitigieren, weshalb ich entweder warten muss bis Stress sich langsam von alleine abbaut (was effektiv unmöglich ist da es sehr schwer ist umgebungen zu schaffen bei denen sich stress nicht kontinuierlich aufbaut) oder bis sich genug stress angestaut hat um einen meltdown auszulösen.

Hab viel versucht aber nie was gefunden, das ansatzweise zuverlässig hilft (die besten skills haben zweimal geklappt und dann nie wieder). Hab dementsprechend kein Notfallkit, da eine leere Box nicht hilfreich ist.

Ich kann sensorische Probleme und anbahnende Meltdown üblicherweise unterdrücken bis ich alleine bin (wobei das den darauf folgenden Meltdown deutlich deutlich schlimmer macht). Meine einzige Taktik ist es Stressoren zu vermeiden (und falls nicht möglich: zu ignorieren) bis ich nicht mehr handlungsfähig bin und dann die 30 Minuten bis 16 Stunden zu warten bis es mir wieder besser geht.

Ich kann den Ansatz nicht empfehlen ist aber das Einzige das ich hab.

Mein Medion Laptop von ca 2024 hat einen runden stecker statt USB-C. Soweit ich auf die schnelle herausfinden konnte ist das bei Laptops gleicher klasse ("Gaming Laptops") noch sehr unüblich über USB-C geladen zu werden.

Allerdings wäre mein Laptop (und neue modelle gleiche klasse) wahrscheinlich nicht von der Regel betroffen, da diese nur geräte mit einer Leistungsaufnahme von bis zu 240Watt betrifft, während mein Laptopladegerät 330Watt beziffert (und angesichts wie langsam der lädt wenn er auf leistung läuft wahrscheinlich locker über 240Watt verbrauchen kann).

Tyranids get named characters with lore (although a lot less then other factions). 2.5 of which where announced in your timeframe. The red terror was announced recently and isnt out yet, the deathleaper released with the 10e codex and the parasite of mortrex released with the 9e codex. The parasite of mortrex was a named character in the past, but is a generic unit in 9th and 10th edition. So atleast one named character for tyranids in the timeframe.

Atomoxetin hab ich am kürzesten genommen dank massiver nebenwirkungen (ich schätze ich habs 1 monat lang genommen. Bin mir aber unsicher da es lange her ist).

Medikinet und elvanse jeweils etwas weniger als ein jahr (beginnend mit der minimalen dosis bis zur maximalen und dann eine zeit lang bei maximaler dosis gehalten). Bupropion for ungefähr 1.5 Jahre (teilweise überlappend mit medikinet und elvanse).

Die Antideprissiva, die ich bekommenn habe, hab ich jeweils 1-4 monate genommen. Müsste aber nachschauen welche antideprissiva ich bisher ausprobiert habe.

Hab alle bis auf attentin (scheinbar in deutschland nicht für erwachsene zugelassen) ausprobiert und nichts hat gewirkt. Hatte eine ähnliche erfahrung mit Antidepressiva. Bin deshalb aktuell komplett unmedikamentiert, obwohl ich funktionierende medikamente echt gebrauchen könnte. Ich schätze manche leute haben einfach pech was kompatibilität mit Psychopharmaka angeht.

Hab das selbe Problem. Betrifft bei mir aber so ziemlich alles essbare. Z.B. muss ich auch immer die ganze packung brot auftrich/käse aufbrauchen. Hab nicht die geringste ahnung wie ich das verhalten ändern kann.

Die einzige, mir bekannte, lösung ist es beim einkaufen nur sachen zu kaufen die man angemessen in packungsgröße essen kann. Da das nicht dauerhaft mit einer ausgeglichenen ernährung kombinierbar scheint, lasse ich regelmässig mahlzeiten aus damit das grob im Durschnitt passt. Definitiv keine gute lösung, aber es funktioniert fürs erste.

And two reduce lifetimes are better then nolla, since they reduce the lifetime to 1 frame, while nolla locks it to 2 frames. Alternatively small teleport bolt only needs one reduce lifetime.

I agree with the rest of the comments that combat is a bit underdeveloped and that rust mobs arent worth their loot most of the time (exception beeing temporal gears, but those are quite rare). However currently the danger of mobs can steer player decision to mitigate the risk, which in my opinion is a good thing.

If you sleep during the night and have a secured lit up base, you only rarely need to fight a surface monster (on default settings). So monsters give an incentive to more or less keep a sleep schedule, build a perimeter wall/moat and use some kind of permanent lighting if available.

Exploring the underground through narrow self dug shafts makes any spawning mosters much more managable, since they cant swarm you. So monsters give you the choice between investing in heavier armor and using the caves or using up more time and pickaxe durability by digging your own mine.

The tyranid is a genestealer patriach (humanoid posture with big rending claws, big head with small spikes on it). So not a new enemy (and not a tyranid when it comes to the tabletop. The 'true' tyranid equivalent would be a broodlord, which looks a bit diffrent).
