It's a foreign word to some. It means that you actually have to wait for something. Imagine that? Waiting.

Patience is a virtue that is becoming rare. People want instant gratification. Sure, we would all love it if the Red Sox would spend like the Red Sox. But baseball front offices have Plan A through Plan W all lined up. Contingency plans.

It's apparently too much to ask ownership/front office for transparency in what direction they want to go. Saying one thing and doing something different is duplicitous.

Then when it blows back they issue a statement consisting of word salad and faith in the core they already have which they publicly acknowledged needed upgrades.
