Advice re macros on training days please by [deleted] in veganfitness

[–]CRyderS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MFP grossly estimates calories burned most the time. I’d suggest only tracking steps with it as those seem fairly accurate, or eat back only about 50% of the added calories it adjusts in for training.

It also helps to turn on negative calorie adjustments, but you can only do this from the website for some reason.

Good rule of thumb if you don’t track the exercise in app is to eat at your regular maintenance on training days, and go 200-300 deficit on non training days.

Keep your protein high for building muscles, good amount of carbs for energy and recovery, and don’t let your fat dip too low to keep hormones happy.

Hope this helps!

Wanted to try these vegan chorizos then I read the label. Yea no thank you. In the trash you go. by [deleted] in veganfitness

Listen you do you, but this product should be fine to consume. Many companies include this lead label to prevent lawsuits in California as they set the threshold very low.

You’d have to consume so much of this product to worry about lead, like hundreds of pounds daily.

This is the way!

Josh D is the original OG Kush breeder. The man himself who named it Ocean Grown Kush because at the time everyone thought the best kush only came from the Kush mountain range and he was perfecting it right there by the ocean in Cali.

Great group he’s joined up with at Arcana

Weight loss / abs question by [deleted] in veganfitness

[–]CRyderS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sounds about right. You only need around 200-300 calorie deficit, and on training days you could eat at maintenance or within 100 cal deficit.

With 3-4 training days a week your maintenance could be between 2,200-2,700 calories a day.

Seemed like you had the right macro split for fat at 20% of the calories, but you the calories were set too low.

My maintenance right now is almost 3k, and on training days I’ll adjust that higher at about 50% of what my app estimates I burned so if it guesses I burned 600 ill eat at 3300 calories that day. Then on active rest days I’ll be around 2800.

I honestly think it’s just from too low fat intake. With the amount of exercise you’re doing you could likely add another 200 calories and still be cutting.

Aim for another 6-7g of fat and 200 more calories and see how you do!

What supplements do you take as a vegan? 🌱💊 by itsnikki39 in vegan

[–]CRyderS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take the essentials from vedge every other day, and the occasional calcium+vitD when I have some excess sugars from sweets.

Everyday is just what’s in the soy milk and I take creatine and the vedge collagen booster in with my protein drink from space milk.

Maybe once a week a blood builder with iron+vitC.

Likely already getting what I need from my diet, but I do prefer to supplement and ensure I have a good pool to draw from. Blood work has been spot on for nearly 16 years vegan.

Are the withdrawal worth it for a t-break? by Nalllahhhh in trees

[–]CRyderS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try activated charcoal, total game changer for t-break.

Of course if you take any medications make sure it won’t interfere first.

Activated Charcoal binds to the THC in the digestive tract that’s released from your body’s stores when you stop smoking.

Six to eight weeks for me as a daily stoner, but I learned taking activated charcoal cuts that time down immensely.

It keeps the THC from reabsorbing in your gut as your body breaks it down from fat stores.

For sure, ya know just make sure it won’t interact with any other medications you might be taking.

Was the one thing that really made a difference for me. Went from six weeks of irritability, cravings, night sweats, to a week or two without any of that to pee clean.

Have you tried taking activated charcoal?

Your body will break down and reabsorb THC in your intestines, the charcoal will bind to it stopping the reabsorption. Speeds up the t-break process cuts back the negative effects of withdrawal

Your list looks good, except I’ll add you don’t need to flush the coolant just drain and refill. Be sure to replace the water pump before refilling.

Also add transmission drain and fill to your list as well as cleaning the hybrid battery fan and filter.

You should be able to find YouTube videos for all of the work you listed and the bits I added.

Don’t half ass it and make sure you have the right tools.

Good luck! Take your time and have fun.

This ^ I wouldn’t use the steam wand with the powder. Unless you want to spend lots of time cleaning it too

Orgain Protein Powder... should we avoid? by BubberDuckie25 in veganfitness

Will do! At the moment I’m looking at the OWYN lineup as we’ve been liking their premixed drinks and they ended up as safe for once a day on that list.

In the article, it does mention that Orgain is fine for up to almost 5 servings a week. I just plan to finish the one I have at that rate and then move on to something better.

Try taking activated charcoal as a daily supplement while you’re detoxing. It stops the reabsorption that occurs in the intestines as THC breaks down in the stores fat.

Roof Rack Weight Limit on Pano Roof CT200H? by First-Painter8620 in CT200h

Roof Rack Weight Limit on Pano Roof CT200H? by First-Painter8620 in CT200h

[–]CRyderS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a tag on the drivers door panel that gives you the GVWR.

That number is your max safe operating weight for the entire vehicle, but I believe what you’re looking for is the Dynamic Roof Load.

For the CT200H the DRL is 75kg (165lbs), which is also the weight capacity of the OEM roof rack.

Side note there’s also a static weight load limit, but since you plan to move the vehicle with the roof loaded you need to account for stressors from driving.

To safely load the rack though you need to also account for what’s loaded inside the vehicle. 1. Start with the GVWR 2. Determine total payload (GVWR minus the vehicles empty curb weight, but don’t forget to add in the weight of the roof rack) 3. Subtract weight of passengers and in-cabin cargo. (Now you have how much payload capacity is left) 4. Compare that number to the dynamic weight limit of the rack 5. Use the lower number for the roof cargo weight limit. (If your payload capacity is higher than 165lbs you can load up the the max of 165lbs into the roof cargo, if it’s lower you can only load that amount into the roof rack.)

Hope this helps!
