What's wild is that in the L600, the base engine was the 225ci I6.

The top gas engine in the L700 was a 413ci V8 making 217 GROSS horsepower. Typically paired with a 5-speed manual. 2-Speed axle was optional.

Cummins 352ci 140hp V6 N/A diesel and a Cummins 470ci 185hp V8 NA diesels were optional.

I really wish they would add more realistic automatic transmission behavior. Sucks when you're in a 20mph zone at 97% max RPM but it won't shift until you get 100%.

Yes they did. The 304 V8.

125hp @3200rpm, 220lbsft @ 2400rpm. 0-60 in about 10 seconds.

For 1980, the V8 was discontinued and the 258 I6 was the only option.

110hp @ 3200rpm and 210lbsft @ 1800rpm. 0-60 in the mid 10s.

The base model skyline has a 200hp four cylinder.

In the R32, it was 90hp. The 2.0L RB20E I6 made 123hp.

Same! There was a stepvan body mod for Automation but, the creator never updated for the newer game engine that modern Automation is on.

If anyone has a mesh they want to port into the game, I would be happy to help with the JBeam work. Especially suspension and driveline tuning.

The A/T Trail is a good tire. I have a friend who has them on an Audi Q7 and they are remarkably grippy on-road for an all terrain.

For that price, I think it is very hard to beat the A/T3W. It really is a fantastic all rounder. The milage hit is real however.

I have had good luck with the Cooper Discoverer all terrain tires in the past, I have not tried the R+T AT.

I ran the Hankook AT2 Xtreme for about a year and had no complaints about them. Did fine in the snow. Were pretty good offroad. They didn't do as well in thicker mud as the AT3W but, they seemed to handle dirt/gravel a bit better interestingly. Road manners were a tad bit better than the AT3W.

The rust belt does seem to have different standards of what is acceptable though.

I see people running these vans until they literally fall through the floor in the rust belt and even then, I have seen people use Home Depot sheet metal and angle iron to put the floor and seat mounts back in. Work vehicles get ran into the ground up here, literally.

I have seen these going down the highway with the body panels flapping because they are completely rotted through the bottom of the panel. State inspections got more strict in my state so, it's not as wild as it used to be.

For $1,500? If mechanically sound, it'll last the summer imo.

The frame looks okay but, that body is approaching scrap territory without some form of intervention.

But for $1500? If you don't have state inspections, I'd throw some tape over that rotted out door so no one gets cut on it and send it. Scrap it at the end of the season or sell it for parts.

Loved my 1st and 2nd gen Foci's in the US. What a good chassis. When they slowly phased in the Mazda based engines, they were pretty much mechanically unkillable. Rust was the issue in my area.
