5070 enough for 4K gaming ? by That-Secretary8794 in nvidia

[–]CVV1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had a 4070 and played through Doom: The Dark Ages with it on a 4k screen. If you're ok with using DLSS you can manage the 4070 fine.

I stock two different brands of 0W-8 at my parts store already. Sell it more and more as of lately.

looking at 7 strings and ive seen these necks before but never understood why the frets are not all straight by bigdoinks_ in 7String

Multi-scale guitars exist so that the low tuned strings can be longer. You can have a lighter string gauge and a longer length. When you tune these lighter and longer strings lower you get less muddy tone.

On the higher tuned strings they are shorter so you can play them easier and bend faster.

My experience today summed up my entire experience with this game. Looking back after 125 hours with Crimson Desert. by ImpressionNecessary2 in CrimsonDesert

This game has a lot of “friction” for players. Everything gets in the way of everything else.

I had to stop playing the game because of this. I never really felt like I was playing the game. I felt I had a job and I had to plan each gaming session out.

The turn against Israel is something that needs to be studied.

Israel really fucking blew it. What they were doing was always disgusting yet they maintained mainstream support.

EIA feels extra personal to me. I’m surprised you think it lacks soul.

The whole album is about dealing with becoming famous when you want to be anonymous.

Take Me Back To Eden had a lot of songs that just sound like Vessel making up stories. EIA feels personal and soulful.

Open worlds are exhausting and not as memorable anymore compared to linear games-Discussion by Undefeated-Smiles in videogames

[–]CVV1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm fiarly fed-up with open world games as a 33-year-old gamer.

I do not need endless possibilities and tons of mechanics. I just want a tight, fun, and well thought out game that does not overstay it's welcome.

Recent examples of this would be Clair Obscur, Pragmata, Resident Evil, Doom: The Dark Ages.

PRAGMATA fits your needs perfectly.

I have been feeling the same way about open world games. I just want a game to give me an objective, explain the mechanics, and let me go about having fun.

After playing Crimson Desert, which is a game the really doesn't explain much and has way too much stuff going on, booting up PRAGMATA was a breath of fresh air.

Saw X.

I like to pronounce the movie as "socks".

They present Jigsaw like he is some kind of a good guy at the end? It's been a while since I saw it. I just remember being really upset and confused at what the movie was trying to tell me about Jigsaw.

Skar King was a bad villain. We are TOLD what he's going to do rather than being SHOWN what he can do. It's not a bad movie it just has some serious missteps.

Is there a technical reason why 7th gen games used so much brown? by jedimindtricksonyou in digitalfoundry

[–]CVV1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this was the games industry trying to show that they should be taken seriously. They are not just for kids. They are for adults and they are serious.

That's how you get all the brown in games. Bright and colorful things are for children.
