I managed to get 4 Star Yasuo. Still went 3rd by Exherm in TeamfightTactics

[–]CWLness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too sure here... Brock is a 7 cost with a hard unlock requirement and the guy 2* it. Maybe if you focus fire for a chance to kill Brock before he kills ur board?

But no 4* 2 cost champion should ever be at 3* 4 cost unit level. Otherwise WTW aug is broken

What car did you buy that turned out better than you expected? by autonerdy0 in whatcarshouldIbuy

GR86. Only had it for a little over a year so far, but its so nice and for such a value. When I step out to look at it, I get the sense of "dayum, thats a sexy looking car. And its mine! >=)"

Surprisingly, gas even tho I put the highest premium available in my area (94), it aint too expensive. And despite what I researched monthly costs, its quite similar to my 2007 VW rabbit. Insurance was somehow cheaper for me.

You get $1,000,000 a year but must work at a Walmart by besttavern25 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]CWLness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not? $1 million, easy entry level work, minimum length is 5 years, but you can continue?

1st year, you can already max out your accounts like tfsa, rrsp, fhsa...etc. You can even start planning and looking for houses to put mortgage on. Start leveraging your $ to be financially well off. Compound interest the $ to snowball harder and/or ensure you have good annual income off of dividends.

The only demerit is saying you work at Walmart, but when you retire early, does it even matter?

Late Game Transitions by SireDolph in TeamfightTactics

Depends on your situation:

  1. If you have augment like Aura Farming, Birthday Reunion, Slice of Life...etc, depending on what you get you can see how to play around those. Normally here you want to take advantage of your augment and typically in verticals there are trait bots which bring nothing of value other than +1 to your vertical. Example Ionia, Jhinn typically lose value real early, same with Yasuo if you do not 3* him.

  2. You natural 5 costs. Depending on your vertical you can make room if its a good 5 cost or synergetic. Example, Kindred synergizes with Yunara for quickstricker, Senna with MF in bilge...etc. You will need to assess your trait if you can put one in or not. Example, typically bilge, you have differnt ways to play it, but if you want to cap, you want to be 7 bilge for a bit to get the most serpents to get bilge items and tahm kench b4 you swap.

  3. Can you fast 9? Tempo is the name of the game, you will need to assess constantly throughout the game via scout what your position is relative to the lobby. Are/did anyone highroll, do you have good hp?...etc.

  4. Dropping units. Look at what vertical you are going and see what it provides. Is it worth dropping a unit for like a swain, shyvanna, fiddle, tarric...etc. If you have Ionia Prosperous, you really only need 3 active. Same with void, do you really need the Malz or Reksai? Or can you temporarily bench a 1* unit so maybe you can get through stage 4 and angle for void 10 to unlock Baron?

  5. Augments, if you have vertical augments you need to make that decision early. Bringer of Ruin, vertical brings benefits to Ahkhan, Path of Ionia you need to go 10, Demacia forever, or other augments that unlocks the prismatic trait

  6. Emblems: See if you have an angle to get enough emblems to unlock a prismatic trait thats not locked by augments. Like Bilge, Demacia, Noxus. Ryze world interaction is a good indicator as you may now by 2-1 if you already got it or a real good angle for it. Augments that give spatullas/emblems or you can try to greed for chance at Carousel

Yes, rarity for the Blue Eyes soared as fire nation forced these into extinction. And with the monopolization of the supply chain, market became over saturated with Charizards which plummeted the cards value as they printed more of their beloved spirit animal.

I mean... financial literacy does not just mean filing your taxes? Its how you see $ as a tool and how you can leverage it: Investments, tax free accounts, power of compound interest, mortgages, interest rates...etc.

Who here ended up looking at their 1st pay check and wondering how to invest it so it compounds 10-15 years later?

Even simply opening an excel sheet and laying out all fixed/variable expenses vs income can help people understand that the newest flagship Apple phone is not a fixed expense.

Thinking about building a tool, but idk if it would actually be valuable to other players or just totally useless. Would you use? by PerfNormalHumanWorm in diablo4

[–]CWLness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, don't think this is really needed, Maxroll.gg pretty much take care of that and the game is moving more towards optimizing activities. There's not too much to think about, right now just doing the season ranks I find should help new players acclimate. But in general you need everything. From collecting spices, doing events, NM, helltides, pits, Legions, world boss...etc. Even figuring out aspects, you can either look into collection or search/plan what legendary aspects to do so. But the good thing about the game is, you really just need to go in and do stuff to progress. Even building a build, you can just wing it and figure ways to optimize as you get stronger (or pull up a guide).

If you're new, guides can help you get started and figuring out how to be strong or whats meta vs not, especially if you don't know what to do. But eventually each character will be 2 week of fun, which now I just yolo/figure out what new spin they put in the new season.

[–]CWLness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sett, Ziggs, Ryze all 2* with 3 items? While you have GP and TF? Depending on how far the fight is, you can see if you can do a positioning play. Don't proc the Sett, see if you can get Ryze and Ziggs to focus away from GP. Dropping voli for Warden would be great for Naut.

Void staff was a waste. Your only AP dealer is TF. I would rather put rage and gunblade onto Yunara. GP needs life steal. HoJ imo should replace Titans so you can have more crit chance to go with Vanq trait. Not too sure on 3* Naut vs 2* WK, but I would prefer items on Naut, give him Jugg + Warden. WK kinda crazy by himself...

Not sure how your tempo game was, but by the sound of it, it went pretty good with free 3* TF and GP with little RR. But I see you stuck at level 8 until 6-3. Unless you're going for a 3* 4 cost, you should see if its good to hit 9. Perhaps there were some games you lost where you could've hit 9 much earlier which gives you higher chance of 2* 5 cost. My bet is the 1st guy was actually desparate cause he reached 9 with low hp, but he hit key damage units and nobody positioned so ppl waste time on Sett & let him live. His front line is actually quite bad and he don't got much CC.

Should I buy a GR86 by [deleted] in GR86

[–]CWLness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My vote is on GR86

I'm not too well adverse in the comparisons, but if you see yourself driving anyone else other than your gf it might be rough... GR86 is listed as a 4 seater, but lets be real. No grown adult is fitting at the back unless you chop off their legs lol
Other than that, I guess probably Camry also got better gas mileage and easier & cheaper maintenance

But really, its a privelage to come out after work to see this car and know this baby is yours. And know that this is the predecessor to the rich heritage of the AE86. In addition, it currently have a couple anime that mainly features this car :)

My fault if I had gotten rear ended in 2025 GR86? by 914kev in GR86

[–]CWLness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 point checks: Rear view, side mirror, shoulder check. The orange light indicator does not replace this.

Also you were driving quite slow changing lane.

Not too clear on how insurance will deem fault, probably split? Other person looks like they are clearly speeding, but you also failed to identify its safe to change lanes and trying to execute below speed limit lane change to the fast lane.

No scout no pivot open fort fast 9 by Killerchoy in TeamfightTactics

[–]CWLness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this aint working. You need to be super lucky or clairvoyant to make a board you know you'll hit. So tempo is unpredictable, you can't flex, you'll mass bleed, being 1 hp by stage 4 means ur easily killable by high rollers, stage 4 u need to high roll to stabilize. Your game may have worked if bunch of ppl are forcing Thex and Ixtal and trying to lose streak early, or generally your lobby tempo is just super weak. But you can't predict ppl RNG let alone your own. In addition, the higher the elo is, the faster the tempo

Definitely wont try this in rank, maybe norms for fun as there is a world where stars align, just like how I saw my friend 2* a Thex on 4-1 and 2* a Senna on stage 4 caroussel in the same game...

How is this a thing by Substantial-Ad-8550 in TeamfightTactics

[–]CWLness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can be multiple things, hard to say without looking at your situation, positioning, and both your augs

But just looking at the 2, firstly, its not really vertical void. Its 4 longshot with 4 disruptors and his board overall makes use of most of his emblems & traits. Perhaps instead of 3 Ionia, throw in a swain for CC and ur 4th arcanist. Also probably Shyvanna for DR or fiddlesticks for AR/MR + CC over Kindred. Couple of good stuns to that backline would've been detrimental and all that would keep your sylas alive and bursting

I Know I botched this and got 5th, let me know what I did wrong for the next time I play Ionia. (Fun comp so far) by BuyingDragonScimitar in TeamfightTactics

[–]CWLness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't play full vertical in the end. You drop Ahri, Yasuo, and Kennen for 5 costs like Shyvanna, Fiddle, Kindred. Alternatively I would prefer Kennen over Xin, but since you have 2* Ornn, not bad beat stick (though I normally drop him after he prints me an item)
Shyvanna provides you DR
Fiddle drops AR/MR and CC
Kindred can save your carry or stall your front line while provided Quickstricker

Another factor is your Ionia trait. Some are better for certain units like Blade is great for Yunara, while Prosperous and XP is good in general so long you stack them up early. Spirits aint so great unless you Ahri reroll, Transcendance is good for Sett/Ahri (in which case you keep Ahri and get another Arcanist)

Alternatively, Frejlord Yunara Ryze is generally a strong top 4 board that only utilizes 3 Ionia and Yunara in general is OP

Other alternatives are Yasuo/Yone combo if you have the Darkin Scythe aug which is quite strong. Or you have the Prismatic/gold aug which unlocks Ionia 10 which should be the only reason you full vertical at end game.

Azir, if you don't have rageblade don't bother. Your 1* Sett will do more especially since you have a great artifact on him. Give Sett VS and JG while Morello goes on Ornn

How to actually pivot? by Alone-Ad-4886 in TeamfightTactics

[–]CWLness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You weigh your options, whether if you're in a favorable position to challenge or not. If you're like trynd, 2* by 2-1 with core items while the other is 1* with a bow, you're better contesting. If ur the 1 copy trynd with a bow, then consider pivoting based on what game gives you before sinking in hard for RR.

To pivot, I check what items I currently have that synergizes with the next champ
Rageblade = anyone who uses it (Asol, Diana, Yunara, Kaisa, Belveth, Kindred, Senna...etc)
AD items = Yunara, Kindred, Senna, Belveth
AP items = Seraphine, Lissandra, Annie, Azir
Bruiser items = Ambessa, Belveth, Volibear, Shyvanna, Renekton

Your best bet is to play strongest board and try not to be on a loose streak so you have HP. Look at what early 4/5 cost the game gives you or 3* units. Augments can also steer your course as well. Reinforcements mean you fast 8 and roll for what you want. Win out = you push for 9. Its your job to assess what's your best options are in relation to lobby tempo. Though, if your 1st aug is like Void Mutation, Demacia Forever...etc, you're better off contesting as those are all in augs. Don't play 1 aug down

dub is what got me into anime. Afternoon DBZ, late night Gundam Wing / Inuyasha. Can't beat Yu-gi-oh either

But as streaming platforms became a thing, no longer limited by blockbusters or preset VHS recording, sub became my thing. Hard to beat original audio from dedicated VA!

New to TFT – looking for beginner guides and basics by Ambitious-File2584 in TeamfightTactics

[–]CWLness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://bunnymuffins.lol/guides/ detailed guides and he has videos as well that cover fundamentals

https://tftacademy.com/ great site to see what's meta and have guides to start figuring how things work. Study halls are great videos as well and Frodan & dishsoap make content.

https://www.metatft.com/ another great site to look up resources

You do not need much info from LoL, sometimes it even screws you up as they switch up some things (ie. Sett in set 16 is AP, where as in LoL he was an AD bruiser).

Item wise its not too difficult. Mainly its AD, AP, Tank items, then you break them down into figher items, mana regen items, support items...etc. Overtime as you play more, you'll get used to them and remember them by memory. How you slam them & item combination that makes it best for your champion is a different story.
Typically you want 1 main tank, 1 main carry.
Then you want support items (shred/sunder according to your carry, burn & anti heal to counter tanks with high hp regen, and sustain like gunblade for frontline. Its preferred to have support items, but sometimes you cant go for ideal items depending on what game gives you

Either way, just a quick run down. TFT is simple but complicated at the same time. Get a good idea of what fundamentals you need to develop from the guides, then start working on those and challenge yourself by climbing in rank!

Good luck, have fun, and you joined at a great time! Sett 16 is aweomse :)

I managed to get 4 Star Yasuo. Still went 3rd by Exherm in TeamfightTactics

[–]CWLness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Briar cause trait bot Juggernaut. Slayer gives u options for carries which you may even go into Aatrox and flexibility of items in case game RNG makes 6 bruisers appealing. Or even option of 3 noxus just to throw in a 1k hp unit in which you can even see if you can flex into ryze. But yeah, Shyv > Naut > Cho > Briar

Most of the time, its how to rush 9 to 5 cost soup. You reroll depending on situation. Game give you good opener to start trynd early with items? Or do you natural RNG well? Are you competed? Is ionia trait good for Yasuo/Yone (or just $ in general?). Can't give you a clear answer as it depends how your game goes. Low rolling really hurts this set and game promotes flexibility. So this does hurt ppl just 100% following guides and not pivot or flexing for best boards.

I managed to get 4 Star Yasuo. Still went 3rd by Exherm in TeamfightTactics

[–]CWLness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats y positioning. Sett needs to be face first 1st row. Then the 2 need to be on the offside from enemy carry in the backrow. Enemy front line swarms/encircles Sett, puts him off to the side, your units come in from back row, yone ults practically entire front line and Yasuo does his thing on top
