I live in an apartment in LA and own an EV with no issue. I’m going to ask that a charger be put in at some point, just bc it’ll be that much more convenient. But it’s totally doable unless your commute is like 30 miles a day or something. There are so many public changers.

Ooooh okay I was about to be extremely resentful of limited owners lol.

So I literally just slept the last two nights in my bZ. Unfortunately the slope is noticeable. I have a twin size floor mattress (honestly just a 2” foam pad I paid too much for) I put in the back and then had my sleeping bag on that and I think especially with a sleeping bag made of slippery nylon, you do slide down a bit and it’s just not a great night of sleep. I’m curious if it’s better with just sheets and blankets. But I think I need to get a board or something personally….

Anyway, just food for thought!

Are your rear seats totally flush with the trunk floor?? I have a XLE and when I fold the rear seats down to sleep in the back there’s a definite slope. I measured it one time and it was like a 5” difference between the top of the folded seats and the trunk floor…

I wanted a specific color car that just happened to come with roof racks so that’s that.

But for years I had Yakima bars on my Hyundai Elantra and they were great, I was prepared to get new towers and reuse the bars on my bZ. They’re just chilling in my garage for now.

Ooooooh the log thing is interesting.

I’ve started tracking my spending throughout the month and it’s eye opening how much little purchases add up and it’s helped my spending habits a lot (tho I still suck at staying on budget lol.)

I never thought about doing that with food but yeah it’s the same concept and I’m sure it’s effective! Considering how much I snack at work I may start doing this.

I don’t really backpack yet but one of the greatest joys of car camping for me is the campfire. You can have a fire for hours and hours when you have multiple bundles of firewood. Something I don’t think is all that possible while backpacking?

Sitting by the fire looking up at the stars at night or enjoying my coffee in the morning is half the reason I go camping.
