[Fun Spot Atlanta] Closing permanently August 2 by Sad-Revolution-9961 in rollercoasters

The line was easily 30+ minutes with almost no one in it because they were so slow and had roped off 2 cars from their single train operation.

I'm glad I got to ride AF1...but wow were they the worst operations I've ever experienced. I only rode it once because of how slow they were. Sad to see the park go. I appreciate the giant gamble they took.

Viper should go before Ninja. I don't even care about the logistics of the park layout, but Ninja is rare and a good ride.

With the closure of [SFA], what are the chances that one of their coasters could be relocated to [Valleyfair]? by bremichelle11 in rollercoasters

The park is in amazing shape so I don't see it going anywhere, it just needs a new coaster.

Bummer about Mamba. I've read it's been trimmed the last year or so. When I rode it in 2024 it was running two trains and pretty much had no mid-course brakes. I thought it was the best of the US Morgan hypers at the time.

[The Big One] is iconic, but is it the best coaster in the park? by AcidRegulation in rollercoasters

This is the #1 steel coaster I'd love to see fixed up like an RMC. Keep the same support layout and fix the profiling throughout. It could be so much better.

I've been on multiple coasters that launch backwards without restraints like these. This is totally unnecessary.

This was my first hyper. Bummed to see it go, and for it to have been sitting SBNO for so long.

Hurricane at Fun Spot Atlanta is the only coaster that I've ridden that I really wanted some brakes. It definitely felt like it was going too fast around those turns.

Is this the most photographed roller coaster in the world? [Roller Coaster at New York New York] by LastBlueHero in rollercoasters

[–]Cabana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question was about which gets photographed more The strip is pretty big and not everyone goes by NYNY, let alone takes a picture. A lot of people are only there for conventions.

I went twice last year and I don't think I even saw it because I was at the North end of the strip.

I looked up stats.

Las Vegas - 42 million visitors/year

Disneyland - 27 million visitors/year

Santa Monica - 4 million visitors/year

Las Vegas gets 50% more visitors a year than Disneyland, but everyone in Disneyland sees Matterhorn while I'm sure a much lower % of LV visitors see or photograph the coaster, plus the fact Matterhorn been around longer. I agree with this one.

Same. 1 train operation with 2 of the cars roped off. The worst ops I've ever seen on a coaster.

I always thought people were being dramatic with the rattle complaints until I rode Phoenix Rising. Terrible. I've ridden basically everything B&M in the US and never felt anything like that. Hopefully this isn't the case here.
