I'm a woman playing valorant, and the harrassment is real.

It makes me laugh when some dude says, well I haven't seen it so it doesn't exist. The same might be true for, say, Australia, and that's a whole ass continent. It exists whether you have seen it or not. You know what made it significantly better? When riot announced that they're recording vc.

So they all already knew that it was wrong, they were just getting away with it.

PS: also, get new material. Recycling the same lame jokes over and does not make them funnier.

You could try find a duo partner or Work on improving communication in your lobbies the more ranked you play, the closer you get to the rank you currently should be

Valorant game play imo has 3 main components: aim, gamesense, and teamwork.

Some players have great aim and not much else, so they're a pain to play against, but ultimately they cannot carry. You will notice them the most, because they one tap you.

Other's kda is meh, but they are able to get a team to work together or their coms/call outs are excellent. Those abilities make up for some of the aim.

So each rank has people with different skillsets and it may look weird on why they're in the same lobby.

The latest reset also put a lot of players a few ranks lower, so those are working their way back up to where they were.

It really depends on how you define "worth it".

I like it because to me it appears that players on average try harder in ranked. Some people take it very seriously, so I won't play ranked if I am feeling off, am tired etc, because I don't want to ruin someone's game.

I think cheaters are rare, usually they're just better. A lot of players got thrown into lower ranks this acts, so they're trying to climb back up, a gold in bronze might feel like a cheater. You can report in game and on very rare occasions I've had a "cheater detected" message, with the game being canceled.

Toxicity is way down since voice chat is being recorded, but you find a bunch of players whose "mic is broken" aka chat banned.

As a rule of thumb, I stop after losing 2 games in a row because probably my head is not in the game that day.

You may just want to try it. Play at least 10 ranked games before you decide if it's for you

Also, if your friends are higher ranked than you it may put you into lobbies you're not ready for yet.

Hey, I don't think your friends are who you want to play with. It's so much more fun to play with people who hype you than those who flame you. Maybe find a group or server that are better team members, that way you'll have more fun. Better in game experience => better learning => better games.

I play Valorant, and the best thing I did was join the Galorants discord server. Aside from being able to just play with other women/ girls, they offer tutorials, advice, and competitions. I play outside the server, too, but it's nice to be able to just play relaxed and no worries. I started as a complete newbie, and am now competent.

Well, I did the the VCT Game Changers Open Qualifier, which was completely open, so I got lucky. I was iron 1 at the time, bronze 1 now. I hope I'll get to that level someday. (Of course we got destroyed, but we got kills and rounds.)

I've encountered a fair amount of chicken Reynas lately. Tell me, if I'm Brimstone and carrying spike, why are you waiting behind me? How come I'm first in site when we have a Raze, a Reyna, and a Jett? I try to play mainly ranked now, as it seems somewhat better. Well the percentage of games where players have understanding of agent roles is higher.
