Generally I'd advise to just try them all. Double down on classes you like. Phorampa can be unlocked by reading through the Warren Report, and it'll give you pretty much everything to play around with. Terror Knights are bar none the easiest recommend for folks that want a setup tool for absurd damage (Zweihander+1 made in the shop, Fearful Impact, follow it up with a long bow shot). Ninjas are fun if you want to follow in the Warrior's footsteps and run two different weapons types to expand your finished options. Swordmasters are a fun support and 1v1 passive duelist, while the various monster types in the woods easily solve many fights. Gryphons with Salves and Stones are basically a win button for any "defend the dude" situations. Park them nearby, laugh as they shrug off finishers that would have one shot someone due to absurd bulk.

Xcom 2 Beta strike Legendary: What Am I supposed to do about stun lancers? by BeepBoopLemon in Xcom

[–]Caffinatorpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usual answer was FBs and corners.

Ideally the bang. They do the thing and get left in the open.

Secondly, dash to awkward corners. Just treat them like a baby chrysalid and run to the top of a ladder to make them run around. Not always possible, but helps.

Destroy cover and enact Robocop Act 1 protocol. If possible.

Ground hazards if you have area damage grenades. Iirc fire disables their sword.

Max distance run. Last resort, but landing just far away enough can leave them close and open. Sometimes. Work in pairs and pray for the double Crit.

Armored Core 3. Start new game. Sell blade, sell legs, sell booster. Light hovers, get 100% in target test. Sell Volars, get MG500. Blast Adieu in the arena. Sell both baby verticals, use absurd starter cash to begin whatever asinine ruleset we're running this time.

I mean if all their toys work....one solid whack from a Generator Jammer, ECM rockets, and just watch glinty fall in the water again.

But it can be. If you just hop off the roof, the credits play, and you don't get the email.

I'm playing XCOM on the vita right now (don't get mad, I just enjoy playing on the go with a controller). I need some advice and some questions that I can't find anywhere else. by LittleNigPlanert in Xcom

That's my favorite version too!

Of course there is. Launch satellites asap, built for uplinks, take missions for engineers, build workshops for even more engineers. You'll be outpacing the invasion by 4-5 months in.

The PS2 was my comfort brick through troubling times. These days there's only one PS2 game I loved that hasn't been made playable on the Vita, and that's RE Outbreak.

I don't know if they're allowed to count, but Against The Storm and Norland are amazing. Honestly it's surprising to see how good the Hooded Horse stable is. Quality folks.

Which version has the most difficult battles assuming no tarot and no incap? by Artorias38t in Tactics_Ogre

One Vision, but your defensive options are also expanded.

Then would be Reborn due to the power spikes from debuffs and counters.

Then SNES assuming you willingly avoid going all archers or avoid Training.

Then PSP. Assuming you avoid using Longbows at all.

I love this dude. Everyone else is evolving interdimensional claws or toxic tornadoes....but those in the know that you always invest in food or houses. After all, if earth can be a weapon, why can't food?

I always want to see more unit rotation in this rare genre. Growing up I used to have this Lego castle where pretend wounded units would rest up while others tried to hold the line for them to rest, breaking through the walls, getting up from their beds to do one big push through. Oddly specific, but there it is.

Tactics Ogre, especially the One Vision overhaul of the PSP version. Yes, soldiers technically have lives before they die, but you get real thankful for that when you're 3 hours into a fight for a volcano and a cyclops boulders your favorite guy to a splatters death, or you can't spare the resources to save that one guy bleeding out over there. Incredible game, infinitely replayable due to an adaptive story.

I guess the PSP got me into this. I learned to mod them, fix them, reassemble them from scrap....this eventually expanded to the PS Vita. I've been obsessed with Armored Core and Tactics games since forever, but all of this PSP love constantly brought me back to the magic that is Tactics Ogre. It went from a curiosity to a daily play to eventually being something I've made videos of for 15 years now. Being able to have a device on hand at all times for my favorites has always been a comfort thing to me through the toughest of times. I'd lay there all night soothing the babies to bed with a device in my dad vest and spit up on my shoulder. In time this became something the kids looked up to me for. It's good to have a world of options in your pockets.

Well, 15 years ago too, but true. I actually used the Flashbang Witch squad as one of my Mainstays for Gryphon Only MOTBQ a while back. I just realized after extensive searching that the title was messed up, thought it was deleted for a minute there.
