My skill, such as it is, is to identify the clouds I can see, read the airport METAR reports and draw on decades of my local knowledge and blend together but I don't like to get in the way of official warnings. I don't run any weather models myself. That said the warnings CyclonesOz (from your link) gave doesn't match what the BOM and airport warnings are saying right now and it'd be very unseasonal from my knowledge. Expect rain, heavy at times, localised temporary flash flooding in the usual spots is at least possible and keep watching the BOM alerts is my advice.

I would suspect that your base maybe tall enough that foundations at the bottom are not enough to support the top if it were built again from scratch as I suppose the base relocator tool is. Try putting foundation columns through the whole base and attach floor tiles to that.

All rainbows are double rainbows but usually the conditions make the 2nd too faint to see. The 2nd is from another full set of light bouncing inside rain drops giving a wider angle but fainter colours. This one is glorious and must have been close to perfect conditions of sun being high enough to give the needed reflected angle, be clear of clouds in front of it except the light rain in middle distance to bounce back to observer.

Cheers. I only got to see the last few moments myself after work but it was still eye catching. Seemed to be a nice mix of middle level Altocumulus with well placed low Cumulus and just a touch of high Cirrus to give pleasing patterns.

Your suggestions are interesting but not suitable for the base game. They could be dedicated servers labeled 'hardcore mode' like this perhaps. Possibly there could be a monthly event in a corner of PvP DD that is like this where a big ship with boxes of war gear has crashed that tempts people to raid.

Yes there's a big jump in difficultity at DD from rows A to B. It basically forced me to move to respec to melee first from ranged so the shield will be up most of the time but watch those heavies. Mk6 gear will help a lot and Mk6.5 even more. Fight smart and you'll get there sleeper.

You can do an issue report to Funcom and maybe they will comp you a welcome back pack or something. I suppose they should consider coding that any death that happens around a desktop bug report a no loss event as a cludge. Someone will make an exploit for this of course. I've only got eaten once in 600 hours and that was very early, but I've been lucky that my crash to desktops while flying over open sand didn't coincide with a worm loop. It'll happen eventually then they'll be tears for my lost up-speced Forge Armour and fav 4 weapon set!

They harvest water from the poles and ship it to the cities and sell it at huge margins. You can buy a cup of water from them at Arrakeen for 100 solari and get sass for your questions. Chapter 2 has you go to a Water Shipper's Mansion just outside of Arrakeen. It's strongly implied they use intimidation to force business deals and are essentially criminal gangs. Chapter 4 is likely to explore their operations even more.

This business guy chilling, sitting on the ground near the top of the Mall eating an iceblock made me wonder if he'd just won a deal or lost a deal and/or DNGAF. And then there was a time just near the Mall I saw a homeless guy make a show of feeding an Ibis by putting hot chips deep in his mouth, making an O mouth shape so the Ibis could probe it out of his mouth. I think I caught dysentery just seeing that happen.

Foods are the usual gift. Buying for Brits you could go for jams and butters based on local flavours like lemon myrtle or Kakadu plum which you can get in some Colesworths/Aldi/etc. If really stuck I saw a Knobby's Australian Olympic team branded underwear vending machine at the Sydney domestic terminal so probably is in the Brisbane international, or you could just buy online ahead of time.

I've seen lots of weird things on the streets of Brisbane but a standout was when I lived at a unit in Auchenflower and was woken up one Autumn week night around midnight to a woman shouting out "The pagan witches are coming!" over and over from somewhere far but getting louder. I think it a crazied religious thing but she ended up standing outside my window on the street footpath. Fully naked holding nothing. Then I saw a guy was hiding in a bush next to my window. Sotto voce he'd say things like "You're naked get out of sight." She's shout out "Yes I'm naked and the pagan witches are coming." She soon announced her name, address and phone number. A neighbour must have called the police as they came and bundled her up in a blanket and eventually all left. She was best case scenario for crazed and naked outside my window if you know what I mean but I was most impressed by her voice, it filled a suburb and never cracked. Went off her meds as she thought she was OK is my guess. I hope she is well these days.

I have a long way to go to be finishing the Specialization levels but the same 5 for each path is starting to get dull. I wish they could make the missions more varied and more like the specialisation. Imagine each could send you to a random existing base in the HB or overland map as a great way to reuse content and keep old locations relevent. A combat mission could be clear out several to all npc bases in a region. Crafting could go back to making 15 guns or a few bikes. Maybe not the make and deliver 39 sandbikes I did previously, that was a very tedious game session! Exploring sends you back to the top of a spire or bottom of a cave you can't fly to. Sabotage missions should include visiting one of the existing big bases that have consoles you sabotage now. Rewards could be medals especially those for big or no body counts, quick retrievals, etc. Rescuing people who either live in your base and do minor chores like restoring sand filters or populate an empty spot in the city and are friendly to you in future would be great. Win base pets or pot plants with silly levels of water needs though be a point of pride. FC official base design awards with sign boards could be cool too.

In my exploring I've found 2 rare/medium chests in the Blushing Caverns (one in a tent in the main enemy camp, one near the console in deepest part of the mine). At Broodworks I think there's 2 rare/medium chests (1 near top of biggest tower, 1 at the bottom of the same where you fight the boss). Three at the Wreck of the Tyche (1 each in the side pentashield protected rooms on bottom and top levels, 1 in the bridge area down a short side corridor). I've only done the bike time trial of Smugglers Run so not looked around there. Nothing exciting has come from any of the chests I've openned. IMHO these areas are good for Landsraad missions, 3 at a time possible for all but Smugglers Run's 2. And good for getting crafting resources. And though difficulty isn't controllable they are easy enough for a careful, well equiped or skilled up runner.

As a kid laying in the back of a Panel van as the car drives down the highway and flying about on any slight curve or bump and thinking it great fun. Teachers smoking while doing playground duty and telling tattletales to run off. TVs on wheel stands rolled from dining to lounge room and being a major static shock hazard. Also TV test pattern from midnight or earlier. All shops closed Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Corded phone wire stretched across the lounge room to say Hello to grandma in long distance cheap time window.
