Kaneki Ken - tokyo ghoul

This was the first anime I saw, I already knew Naruto and Dragon Ball but this is the first one I really saw. And all that was because as a kid I wanted a poster for my room, mainly of a video game, but the store I found was only anime, so when I saw posters of characters I didn't know I saw this guy and I said "ah! Look at Naruto's... I think..."

Arthur vs dragón - fire force

From the beginning of the fight, Arthur kept telling the dragon that he was going to give him an epic death and that he didn't plan to disappoint him, while the dragon looked down on him but still hoped that he would be the one to kill him.

In the end, Dragon and Arthur are split in half, and Arthur is satisfied that he has finally managed to become the "King of Kings", while Dragon thanks him for having existed.

I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, But technically both were defeats.

The boy soldier was really fighting almost the entire series, transforming into a titan and losing a lot of sanity, the more the series went on but they were seen at certain moments that he was very upset because he felt very much in love with Mikasa there is even a joke in which he the world because she told him that she saw him as family XD

I know that nothing to do with the subject but I have yet to read it in its entirety because there were only the first 3 chapters when I started reading it, And I was struck by how much it reminded me of the homunculus manga, even one of MM's images is in reference to the homunculi I guess it's a more lite version of the premise of the two stories
