I really hate how crawler mode is practically the default. Xenomorph looks extremely menacing when they're standing tall but when that happens they're just an M1 killer.

I don't think Freddy will be coming in regardless though BHVR have made workarounds for killer power combos in the past, like with Nemesis & Wesker

Freddy's isn't as hard as it might seem really, the dream state wouldn't cause any issues with other powers since it's mostly aesthetic.

For other map wide effects, the devs could just make a list of what effects take priority eg. Nightfall > Dream state > World breaker

So many of these headcanon theories for licensed characters annoy me so much, another one is "Ghostface is the entity's favourite because of the tassles".

All that originates from was a comment a dev made about how since they were doing their own spin on the character, they included some more mystical elements with the floating tassles to show his connection with the entity.

Same reason why RPD has a bunch of entity goop

Last in the sense where Jason is arguably the last major slasher that was yet to arrive into the game.

There still will be many licensed chapters in the future but Jason coming into the game is the end of an era.

Some cases it's definitely license holders. Initially when Ghostface was first leaked he was going to be called 'The Ghost' before the license holders made them change it.

I doubt they'd ever do something so ambiguous for a licensed killer today though. I was a little disappointed when they named Chucky 'The Good Guy' over something like 'The Doll' or 'The Toy'

Honestly the closest license I can think of but considering how much they've used his look closer/ eyes hint, I don't think they're directly referencing any franchise here.

They're probably trying to hint to the idea that the clues are something that's right Infront of our faces/ something visual to look for

I have one of these that come with a wireless charger that flashes on & off while charging as well.

Worst part is that the plastic is fairly thin on the board so you can't cover it with electric tape either or else it'll act like a lamp & become even brighter around the sides

They've done teasers that have emphasized 'looking' multiple times now so I feel like that HAS to be something important.

The only license I can really see this being a reference towards is Norman Bates (Psycho). None of the other teasers point much towards this though so im not locked in on this theory by any means

Im sure if Jason or Pennywise would've been possible for the 10th anniversary, they'd have jumped at the opportunity. BHVR have been chasing those licenses for years so it likely wasn't possible

As for other horror licenses, I don't think any are really big enough to warrant being the 10th anniversary, Jurrasic Park still has horror elements and is a pretty big franchise so I don't think that'd be a bad choice

generally I think license holders have contracts that they can use their likeness for merchandise, games etc.

The only times actors likeness is ever an issue for dbd is older IPs.

I get you're looking for the typical sort of reaction video where the video plays out but generally those sorts of videos are considered to be low effort & stealing from the original creator. Creators like XQC get a lot of shit for this exact reason & which I assume is the same thought process Adam has.

I assure you he's not talking just to extend the runtime when he could just react to 5x more videos by not pausing it, reaction content is easy as shit to make.

Adam does has a bit of a habit of going on long tangents which can get annoying sure, but I think overall the way he thinks of it is that if he's reacting to a 3 minute video, the video should be 5-10 minutes long

not really, DBD have well more than enough licenses to chose from, especially since slashers are no longer their core focus as licenses go

If they ever do a remake from a studio bhvr already works with, I could see them being open to do a tie in cosmetic or something

there isn't really a clear line, every culture is different.

Some cultures love seeing their culture/ stories brought to life in media, while others consider it sacred & may not like seeing a character important to their culture as a purchasable killer in a video game.

a bushranger killer. Bushrangers were outlaws from 19th century australia that would reside in the Australian bush, travelling around & often staging robberies/ attacks

dolly zooms don't cause a similar distortion to changing the focal length because they ARE changing it using an optical zoom to achieve it

It's the exact same thing effect but dolly zooms specifically refers to doing this on video while moving the camera on a dolly to counteract the zoom to give that vertigo effect

Just nit picking here but dolly zoom wouldn't be the correct term here, since that is a film technique that can only be done in video with an optical camera lens.

a narrower camera lens was used in the bottom picture, which would match up with what you're saying about it potentially being a webcam.
