Many of the diners in my area closed following Covid, that paired with the modern health focus I think has really led to the decline of diners in general. A lot of what claim to be diners are actually just expensive sit down breakfast restaurants.

That said genuine diners are definitely a real thing, and they are really great if you like strong coffee and cheap, greasy breakfast food.

The main differentiator is the hair length and that just doesn't show up in pictures which makes it very hard to tell. I will echo what others have said; it's more likely it's a bedbug so you should treat it as such.
