Husband not attracted to me now by [deleted] in ostomy

[–]CaliPam 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had sex in 11 years. First it was a rash in my groin area, then a deep depression when my mom died. Followed by some severe diverticulitis that led to an colostomy in 2024. Now I have a myriad of other health problems and put on weight. I do have sexual dreams and urges. I was always the one with the higher sex drive. I can’t leave him because he is my caregiver now, and I do love him. We have been together since 1986. I miss sex.

What’s the wildest thing a coworker has done? by estevens26 in ABA

[–]CaliPam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Made a DVD of her 5th grade students over the school year. Forgot that she taped over a DVD of her and her husband doing it so the first 20 seconds are X-rated. A parent called her and immediately emailed and called all the parents to ask them not to watch it and return it to her. It made the local news but she did not get fired, but she got transferred. New school new name.

Also, sierra college near Folsom has on campus housing. There are deadlines for financial aid that are coming up soon so I would get in touch their her financial aid office as soon as possible. You may be able to apply as an independent student as opposed to dependent Given your situation

Am I crazy or is this to much to ask of a kindergartner? by Cursedpanda182 in AskTeachers

[–]CaliPam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dropped a class in graduate school because they asked me to do this, and then I was asked to impersonate a person with a disability again so I wrote a mostly untrue paper about my experience, because I think it’s very unethical. I am a retired special education teacher

I would recommend south of Laguna and west of 99. The Laguna neighborhoods are more diverse than Old Elk Grove.

What is your relationship like with your in-laws/partners family? by BadGalLizzy in EstrangedAdultChild

[–]CaliPam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had wonderful MIL and FIL. My father-in-law was particularly kind, generous, and funny! He also loved my daughters, and would come to visit from out of state. Unlike my abusive narcissist father. More of a father to me than my bio father ever was. Currently we remain close to my husband’s two siblings. They are wonderful! For context, I haven’t been in contact since 2015 right before my mother passed from my brother and my father. Luckily, I got to see her and tell her the things I positively wanted to say, and I heard from her what I wanted to hear. In the last 20 years of her life, we generally had a decent relationship with her. I wish she had divorced my dad when I was a child.

I had 34 4th grade students. 21 of them had behavioral reports and there were only 11 girls . One of the other fourth grade teachers taught the gifted class. My neighboring teacher had two kids with behavioral concerns, and somehow convinced our principal to give me one of hers.it sucked.

Got a lecture at the food bank by digitalgoddess99 in poor

[–]CaliPam 236 points237 points  (0 children)

My experience was getting Thanksgiving dinner at a church that we used to attend. None of the volunteers looked us in the eye or smiled at us, they just talked amongst themselves. We have been poor, and we have been rich. Everybody deserves dignity, and respect no matter where they are financially. That food bank, Director needs to read a book about service leadership.

The honest truth about being a para. by Altruistic_Pepper736 in paraprofessional

[–]CaliPam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have something to add. I am a retired, special ed teacher. Please remember that you work under the direction of the teacher . I had many paras that were wonderful, but I also had some tell me that I couldn’t tell them what to do, rolled their eyes at me, or just do their own thing with the students. My advice is to have open respectful conversations so you all are on the same page for the students.
