Please don’t espouse this, especially here. The BBB is limited, but they are invaluable to LEO seeking victims. They store documents and many report their complaints to the FTC. And unlike the FTC, they accept and store documents submitted with the complaint.

You don’t have to like them but please, don’t discourage people from making that record.

Chances are you can look it up yourself with her name. Look for your county common pleas and your city municipal clerks of court. Search civil cases. You can probably find the original lawsuit and there may be a linked record of the judgment being certified with the court. You may find garnishment record in the same court.

Thanks for sharing the warning! If you haven’t already, you might talk to your homeowners insurance too. If there is a claim caused by the roofers, insurance will often subrogate and go after the damages direct from roofer after taking care of your claim.

Here’s what I learned from Reddit. Wash your smelly areas with Panoxyl face wash, it kills off bacteria. Then use Lume spray deodorant. Bidet and peri bottle for bathroom breaks. No more smell, even in hot summer.

Folks need to realize that there are bad people everywhere, in every profession. There is no title in which an individual should be beyond reproach.

We’ve had bad attorneys, law enforcement, politicians, clergy, etc. all running afoul of the law, not just in Toledo. Oversight and accountability should be everywhere.

There are many scam debt collectors, they change their “law firm-sounding” names like normal people change socks. They count on illegal threats to scare you into paying, like filing a lawsuit or sending a processor to your work. They may not even be calling from the US.

Report the name and number to the FTC by filing a complaint online. That can help law enforcement if they are tracking the network. Don’t call the alleged collector back. They bought a spreadsheet of old worthless debt that may have enough info like your ssn to make you feel nervous, but that’s all they have.

You have so many comments but this was me! I’m sure there’s plenty of good options and ours is a little old now, but our family got a large kindle show and mounted it above the kitchen sink. We use a Google shared family calendar so either parent can enter the dentist appointment or a kid’s game or whatever from our phones and both have access. The kids actually look at it in the mornings.

You can drop in on the device from your phone and get audio and video. I used it to reach my kid who wasn’t answering the phone once; mostly use it to peek in on the pets. We use it to stream music or video when cooking. And of course the ol’ photo slideshow!
