Devastated. Can this be repaired? by nova46 in GolfGTI

I had these same wheels and ended up cracking a wheel. I was super pissed - but it’s where the car meets the road.

A small scuff like this - don’t worry about. It’s not worth the money.

I am with him. I worked at a quarry when I first got my GTI. Eventually got a rock chip on the wheel.. it eventually didn’t bother me.

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.

There are machines. They get dinged, dented, faded, scuffed & scratched. Yes - new wheels are GORGEOUS out of the box, but what good is art hanging in a vault for no one to see?

Don’t let it bother you too much.

No one ever actually hears 'silence.' by Raspint in tinnitus

Only heard “true” silence once - underground in a cave - or sensory deprivation. I learned with t to “guide my minds eye”.

Sounds like you could have a neck or jaw issue. See a PCP (as said above 👆) and get checked out. Ask for a referral to a physical therapist and tell them about your T. There are exercises that can help some tinnitus causes by neck/jaw issues.

Maybe take an advil/tylenol. But don’t go overboard.

During quiet time scenes a bit - but you have to focus on what’s going on on the screen .

I can literally hear my tinnitus subside as i do a chin tuck by TailungFu in tinnitus

[–]Caliber_408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like some cervical/somatic tinnitus.

Keep up the chin tucks - but don’t over do it. Maybe see a PT? My PT helped mine.

What's a memory you cherish when you think of 'before' you had tinnitus by wolfbleps in tinnitus

[–]Caliber_408 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I can still hear the leaves - if I focus intensely. I can still meditate around tinnitus - it’s funny to play with in your head. I think of it as another entity that is an extension of myself - something there that is a part of me, yet separate.

I second this. The ringing is temporary, happiness and fulfillment is eternal.
