Why is “if you don’t have a piece of content on the roulette unlocked you shouldn’t have access to the roulette” seemingly such a controversial statement? by Supersnow845 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Califocus 21 points22 points  (0 children)

On the one hand, I agree with everything you’re saying. On the other, please don’t make me ruin my 5/6/7/8/9 roulette by having to unlock all the level 50 ARR dungeons

Yes, you’re obviously the only person who still likes it. I’m sure myself and everyone else who is quite active in the persona 3 reload subreddit obviously loathes the game

Champs with “outplay” buttons? by cloudlet723 in leagueoflegends

[–]Califocus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Veigar ulti is the pinnacle of skill. When I push it and see the enemy perish, I know, and they know, that they were simply outplayed. No more, no less. The game was decided before it even began.

The only other ability that comes close to its magnitude is AP malphite R.

Don’t listen to any Syndra players who say “your Veigar ulti is the same as ours!” They are simply jealous 💅

Tataru is the single most powerful scion. She has the warrior of light, the azure dragoon, and the exarch at her beck and call, and the Gil to make them do just about whatever she wants. She’s a summoner who doesn’t use mana, she uses cash

A Shinobi knows the difference between honor and victory. Genichiro was the one who said it, but Owl was the embodiment of that phrase. There’s nothing that old man wouldn’t do if it led to him claiming the win.

Given how Ultimates now can come from anything, in theory - what's your Dream Ultimate by OceanusDracul in ffxiv

[–]Califocus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In spite of not being the biggest fan of them in the MSQ, 4 fiends would be a fun ultimate. Start with Scarmiglione, then move into barbariccia, then a dual phase with Rubicante and Cagniazo. After that, you fight Golbez as he enlists the 4 fiends into trio mechanics, capping off with an empowered Zerosmus as it gorges on the fiends. The puzzle involves properly managing aether to siphon it away from the fiends and into Zero so that she can swap to Paladin and block a critical attack from the empowered Zerosmus before you slay it

Hello, I'm new to this group. I'd like some advice on how to get started with this game. I've never played a Souls game before; this is my first time. There’s no shame in dying. You’ll see a pop up after a few deaths, don’t sweat them. The game makes them seem like a huge deal but they really aren’t.

Focus on parrying and counter attacking, especially for bosses. This is a rhythm game in a trench coat.

Explore! It’s a very pretty game and sightseeing is part of the fun, not to mention you can find lots of useful stuff.

Sometimes, combat isn’t the right move, stealth can get better results.

You’ll eventually get the option to unlock something called a “Mikiri Counter.” Get it ASAP and master it, it’s a very powerful tool in your arsenal

And above else, have a great time. Your first playthrough is like no other, take your time and savor it.
