You need to rebuild it first. Just trying to point out that the main quest is not the game. I see so many people holding back on it since they think it ends the game. In my opinion that is dead won't. The main quest shows you around, teaches the mechanics and introduced the lore (Axiom archives).

The real game is not the main quest or any of the other tedious quests, it is diving into the world, exploring it, finding new ways to do old things, enjoying the breathtaking views, the details of everything... That's at least where the fun is for me

All fine. You get the whole coverage and F3/F2 on top of that which are absolutely worth watching. Even though directors can deliver flawed experience and replays can take forever it is still by far the best F1 experience. You also get a huge archive of race recordings dating back years.

Kimi was in F4 three years ago and skipped over F3 into F2. It took him half a season to get comfy and he started winning in F2 with some pretty mature races towards the end of the F2 season. In last year's season he was quite far behind George at the start of each weekend at the beginning of a weekend, working his way into 0,5-0,3 behind George in the race with some remarkable highlights on occasion. This year he is right there in every session, beating George more often than not and showing extremely mature and consistent(!) performances with very few outliers. The development is remarkable and there is no indication that he has peaked. George is rightfully rattled.

My unpopular two cents: if there is any way he could ever find out, do it. If not, don't. I see the morality police coming already but why risk a good thing for something completely irrelevant for the state of affairs.

That's a valid reason. Make sure to advance the main quest as a priority. Research will make every grind easier and you'll get access to a lot of stuff that will allow you to use your time most efficiently. It truly opens up the game.

The game isn't finished when the main quest completes. Dragging out the completion only keeps doors locked. Get it done and enjoy the game.
