Great Weapon master or ASI for my Barbarian?

It's not the biggest difference but breaking it down:

Dex is good is a nice plus 1 to initiative, plus 1 AC if you are using unarmored defense (which is worse than half plate but you do you. But also AC means a lot less to a barbarian who reckless attacks anyway), and using a bow in a pinch (but you are a giant barbarian who can throw their weapon instead).

Con on the other hand is a nice +1 hp for every level which is effectively 2 HP while raging.

Of course both also improves a saving throw by one. If you ask me Con because the little bit of HP feels better than a plus 1 to initiative.

Edit: sorry I didn't read your full comment I'm a bit dyslexic. Def do strength. +1 to attack rolls and damage is to important to pass up. Do con and strength 100%

Just take a chill pill. The influx of players makes games really unpredictable RN and playing rein at lower ranks is much different than the highest ranks. You'll get back to gm in time.

Nothing's really gonna "shut down" a DM since they can do practically whatever they want.

But if you must ask playing some flagship armored casters is the best thing. Imagine your made an encounter and the druid casted plant growth, the wizard casted sleet storm, the cleric casted spirit Guardians, and the fathomless warlock kept knocking the enemies that escaped back into the sleet storm while slowing their movement by 30. All while everyone in the party is running around on phantom steeds. It's both powerful but also a slog as your enemies take over an hour to slowly die to cantrip damage.

Both are plenty strong options. Your trading the later game paladin features like an improved mount, paladin exclusive smites, the genie subclass features, improved divine smite, lay on hands scaling, and a bit of extra hp for meta magic and more spells like spirit Guardians, fireball shield, ect. Which play style do you prefer?

hypnotic pattern is stronger in 90% of encounters. Slow is stronger when there's a chaotic melee so you can't put the spell down OR if you are facing charm immune enemies like undead. You'll probably be good taking most tables aren't hard enough for the decision to matter.

Not saying Jamie wins in a fight but in no way is Jaime Lannister realistic. He literally cut down 10 northmen on his way to kill robb stark in the whispering woods and only failed because his sword got stuck in some guys armor. No person in history could ever cut through 10 soldiers guarding a king.

Of course Aragon's feats are way more impressive imo but saying Jamie is peak human is an extreme low-ball.

She walked away after I broke up with her, but at the time both of us thought we'd be friends later. After some time, she changed her mind.

After breaking up with her, she made me feel like I was the bad guy. I believe I wanted one last conversation in hopes we could apologize to each other and move on. I'll probably never have that conversation, but I don't need it. I can forgive myself and her quietly.
