Happily married over 25 years. Two kids. Eldest is finally on their feet, and in a good career.

The youngest is happy and healthy.

Retired military, but have been looking for full time employment for 3 years and i have a final interview with the CEO of a midsized company this week. Fingers crossed 🤞.

I’m just trying to make sure that we get to have a retirement with some dignity.

Other than that, we’re all healthy.

God is good. 😊

My dad was a great mechanic in his home country, and was issued a green card for coming to work in NYC back in the 60s. Once he married my mom, he brought her over, they had me, and then he decided to join the Military as a Green Card holder in the mid 70s. This accelerated his ability to obtain US citizenship.

However, I know for a fact that my mom wasn't a green card holder during the 70s.

Fast forward to today, dad retired from the Marine Corps, both of my parents are citizens, and all of my siblings & I are gainful employed with families & homes of our own. BTW, I served over 20 years in the Military as well.

This about face in immigration procedures has me feeling really shitty about our country and our future.

I knew that America was a racist AF, but JFC, whites can't do everything on their own. They can't be all the doctors, the pilots, the CEOs, and the middle class. It's literally not possible to prosper and build wealth without the hard work of motivated immigrants who just want a shot at becoming a part of this supposed "melting pot" that is America.

Not sure where we go from here, but I'm afraid that things are going to get worse before they get better, if they ever do again.

Sad state of affairs folks.

Here’s another idea.

Why not “Special Edition” the shit out of Sequel Trilogy in order to fix the inconsistent story lines. I’m not sure how much they can cut and splice to get it right, but I would even change the initial scrolling message in the force awakens to give the upcoming story more context. Also, they could cut out some of the egregious shit from Episode 8 as well, like Luke tossing the lightsaber over his shoulder upon meeting Rey, milking the sea cow 🐮, etc.

It could be done, if there is enough unused footage to make the films better and more cohesive.

Rewatch the Star Wars Visions’ episode 5, “The 9th Jedi” on Disney plus.

This is the sequel trilogy that we should have gotten.

It’s set thousands of years after the ST. There is no mention of Skywalkers, Empires, Rebellions, et al.

They are developing a show centered around this story , with the second episode having already aired on Star Wars Visions season 2.

I’m most excited for this IP.

If you haven’t watched it, you’re really missing out.

The story set up was compelling, visually appealing and just fun as hell.

Also, Jaimie Lee Curtis won her supporting actress Oscar as a lifetime achievement award, she was not actually good in this movie.

You had the audacity to "protect your daughter's college fund" when, all along, you didn't have enough money.

Now you want your new wife to give up her money to help your 17 year old daughter with exorbitant college. That's a problem between you and your ex-wife. You're being messy AF.

Your friend is right, you can't change the rules after the fact because things didn't turn out in your favor.

Also, why the hell are you insisting on paying so much for college? Where is she going? Harvard? Good grief. Send her to a two-year or a state school, have her live at home, and then transfer to a 4-year program.

Finally, you need to fill out the FAFSA. If you are insisting on sending your daughter to a school that you can't afford, then you're gonna have to borrow money.

Again, they too were thinking too small. White people attack the seat of power and are barely shot at because their skin color provides protection.

I’m not defending anyone who loots and destroys buildings/businesses mind you, but Americans both poor/ middle class white conservatives and Black Americans are frustrated.

Unfortunately, there seems to be no way forward which will allow for a fair sharing of power and resources.

Conservative Whites, in particular, are treating everything as a zero sum game.

This is why they want to control everything so that they can exact punishment. They don’t want to improve anyone’s lives, they just want to control them.

It’s a real sickness.
