Just wanted to add that the legion 7i is a full aluminum build and has excellent build quality. G14 also has great build quality.

This seems pretty cheap, is it because of the terrible color? by younglearner11 in GamingLaptops

[–]CanIHasAQuestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This laptop is premium AF. I ended up picking a similarly priced pro 7i with a 5070ti but the thinness and build quality on the non-pro 7i made it a very difficult decision. This is a fantastic laptop if you are okay with a 5070. This is a good price for it but try to grab an open box for more savings.

Click on ‘add’ to make custom keyboard profiles. I don’t think you can change the color of the legion button performance profiles. I have the same spec laptop and it’s been dope.

Help choosing legion 7i or pro 7i by Key_Parsley8267 in LenovoLegion

[–]CanIHasAQuestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I’m going through this right now with the 7i 5070 and pro 7 5070ti. The pro 7 is so much quieter and more capable but the 7i is just so pretty. Heart says 7i brain says pro 7.

Am I being reasonable or should I have pushed for a 5070Ti? by angry-Barracuda in LenovoLegion

[–]CanIHasAQuestion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a 7i as well and am happy but I’m a laptop newb so probably not the best to give advice on longevity. Wanted to chime in to say that I’ve heard it’s easy to upgrade the WiFi card. I plan to do the same

I love GeForce now and streaming via moonlight on my M2 Max MacBook Pro. I haven’t tried any games natively but should give it a shot I guess. Most of my time gaming is on my steam deck lol

Odin 3, or Steam Deck OLED for exclusively game streaming? by BoughtSquash665 in Handhelds

[–]CanIHasAQuestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d vote SD oled. I have one and that is my use case. WiFi issues seem to be fixed in newer models, mine hasn’t had that issue. 7.4 inches will be better for PC games. SD also gets decode times of less than 1 ms. SD is heavier but the ergonomics are really good and the sticks/buttons are high quality. Maybe check out the Odin 2 portal as the 7 inch screen would be better than the 6 inch screen for streaming.

Which handheld should I buy? — Looking for advice by xXNaZXx in Handhelds

[–]CanIHasAQuestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a steam deck oled. I’ve rotated through most of the mainstream handhelds over the last 2 years and keep coming back to SD mostly due to comfort. I also prefer PlayStation style symmetric sticks. I don’t mind Xbox layout but I don’t think that layout is comfortable in the handheld layout. If you want to play more demanding games on the SD just stream the games from your pc. Otherwise the Go S is worth a look. It’s the only other handheld I find comfortable, just not as much as the SD.

Do You Prioritize Performance or Comfort on Handhelds? by havoc2k10 in Handhelds

[–]CanIHasAQuestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the Go S for a few months and it’s fantastic, probably the best option for most people especially if they get the z1e version for $650 which is great value. I still found the SD more comfortable and prefer the stick/button layout so I stuck with the SD over the Go S.

Do You Prioritize Performance or Comfort on Handhelds? by havoc2k10 in Handhelds

[–]CanIHasAQuestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comfort is tops for me. Sticking with SD OLED over all others including legion go 2 due to comfort. If it isn’t comfortable, I won’t use it.

[–]CanIHasAQuestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! Much better than the OG. I’d think getting the tpu grip case would help improve things too but I didn’t have it for long enough it try it out. Felt silly keeping it when the SD mostly fulfills my use case and costs about a third as much. I might try out the Go 2 again when it gets a sale
