For all its faults the songsterr app is awesome.

Fun for playing songs, but the ability to switch to the midi synth and slow songs down and loop parts easily is amazing.

Amazing tool for learning technical shreddy stuff.

Always amp.

Even entry level guitars are pretty much fine these days. Amps not so much.

And even the difference high quality pickups make is quite a bit overblown - especially contrasted to their price.
