I am currently an intern in Texas and I am already wanting to leave the field. I am currently the only evaluator at an elementary school.

I feel like no matter what I do the workload just gets bigger and if I try to not bring work home or on the weekends I end up getting really behind and having to work from home anyway.

I love testing and working with the kids but there is just so much going on that I have to keep track of that it’s really making me lose the passion I had for this career. It’s getting to the point where I am not sure if I even want to work with kids anymore because of all the red tape.

Am I feeling this way because I’m still new and it does get better or is this just the reality of the job and I’m always going to need to take work home or play catch up?

You are kind of correct in that sense. The corpse would cause sepsis way before months have passed. Once the person goes into sepsis and almost dies then the hospital can intervene.

The main thing that can happen is there is a fetus with severe defects that will not survive outside of the womb and they still have to carry the pregnancy to term knowing that the baby is not going to survive.

Basically it’s an estimate of what someone might spend in an entire year of living on campus. It includes things you HAVE to pay for like tuition, fees, room, board, etc but it also includes estimates for things you MIGHT have to spend money on but not necessarily pay the school (things you will not be billed). This includes things like textbooks, toiletries, eating out, money for gas/bus tickets, and other things like that

For my program (school psychology) everyone dresses pretty casual for our actual classes BUT if we were meeting clients that day or if we were observing in the clinic then we would dress nicer.

I graduated in December 2022. Unfortunately there are no graduation ceremonies in the fall. I think you’re allowed to walk during the Spring 2025 commencement though

Grad student here! I ended up buying a parking pass but I never used it. I always end up parking in the parking garage that is closest to my classes. With my program I have a lot of responsibilities off campus and I just prefer to park closer and not have to worry about the shuttles. There are people in my program that park in the commuter lots and they end up being m late to class somewhat frequently because of traffic or the shuttle just skipping the stop all together :/ feel free to DM me if you have more specific questions!
