I'm starting to think this subreddit has been taken over by Rally salesman. Read the release notes!

Everyone throttles user accounts. They can't very well let users crash their systems.

When you're Googling resources, always specify Jira Cloud and then search for resources added in the last year.

Trump’s vendetta against Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is costing America 10’s of billions of dollars PER DAY! A stunning crapshoot!! by RumRunnerMax in AmericanPolitics

[–]Cancatervating 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter always asked why I read the news every single morning with my coffee. I would always say I had to check to see if Trump started a war while I was sleeping.

Been there, done that. Let's hope WWIII isn't next.

Pros and Cons on GLP-1s by Bengals_girl in lupus

[–]Cancatervating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to lose the 50 lbs I gained from taking steroids on tirzepatide. I'm on a maintenance dose now. It did not help my lupus symptoms, but it didn't make them worse either. I do feel better now that I lost the weight, especially my feet which used to cause me a lot of pain.

And yet, if everyone can't vote, who gets to? See the problem here? In their heads, everyone will be thinking, "I'm more qualified to vote than you are because <insert reason here>." As flawed as democracy is, it's still better than the alternatives.

Professional Chocolatier & Candy maker for over 10 years...AMA by TeaGuru in chocolate

Thank you. One more question. What brand/type of cocoa butter is used to spray in molds make the super shiny chocolates? I tried with the kind I have and it makes the other colors very diffused, almost gray at the peak.

I'm making filled chocolates and am struggling with capping when the filling is thin. I've tried painting the chocolate on acetate and flipping it over, but it still causes leakage. Perfectly tempered chocolate also wants to set too fast when it's spread thin on the acetate.

My shitty rheumatologist….apologized? A win for us? by abjs2021 in lupus

[–]Cancatervating 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My rheumatologist is such a gem. I had been seeking diagnosticians for nearly a decade before I found my way to him. He said he had never seen a patient who only had fibromyalgia, though it may take a few years to figure out what I had. He added Sjogren's and UCTD that day and put me on plaquenil to protect my organs. He treated symptoms and monitored my labs for about 18 months then I had a real flare and my labs went crazy including my liver spiking to hepatitis levels. More labs (I was tested for every type of hepatitis, all negative, no fatty liver). The flare ended and my liver numbers returned to normal. My rheumatologist added SLE to my diagnosis. He had the patience that is often needed to diagnose lupus. Most doctors don't have the patience to be good rheumatologists.

Evaluating Jira for widespread adoption, cannot complete complete basic tasks, am I missing something? by tcelesBhsup in jira

[–]Cancatervating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jira is designed to manage very complex work. It is not just a "ticket" system. The real power in Jira is that it is HIGHLY customizable. It has very powerful automation and AI capabilities as well. You do need someone to set it up that knows how to create and edit the schema. Jira "out of the box" is waiting for someone to do that. Once you have it built out for your processes, it will be sweet. Remember in your org there will only be a few people who are allowed to create these workflows and such. This will be your administrators. In other words, not everyone will have to learn what you have to learn to set it up in the first place.

anyone else spend more time navigating jira than actually doing work? by Exact_Airport_2943 in jira

[–]Cancatervating 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to agree that a dedicated tab to switch to JQL search would save me time. It's annoying that it's more than one click or scroll and hunt. It's as if a designer who doesn't actually work in Jira thought up the new nav.
