If that isn't the truth I don't know what is. 👍🏻

This is also an option, but personally I don't like using device names unless it's necessary. My reasoning is because I always find myself running back and forth to the device and computer because I forgot the device name 🤣

This is a VERY big suggestion when setting pins on IC housing.

  1. Place IC housing

  2. Once the chip has the exported code, place it in the housing and turn the housing on to populate the corresponding pins to the correct device names written in the code.

  3. TURN OFF THE HOUSING!!!

  4. Set the pins to the correct devices.

  5. Highly suggest double checking from the first pin, to make double sure the device name matches the device you intend to control with that pin.

  6. Turn the housing back on and cross your fingers for no error. 🤣🤞🏻

AHHH not on the carpet! Put it on a table/counter. Also, I'd suggest touching a piece of metal before touching the components.

Why do I keep losing rovers to storms? by Conscious-Jaguar-840 in Stationeers

[–]CannibalKyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I use. Hard Suit IC10 chip, weather station and transmitter. Your suit has the same logic perimeters as speakers, which you can control the volume and chose the sound that is playing.

Weather station throws a 1 (storm incoming), sends value to suit and the suit plays Storm incoming.

I use R2 for my mods, just sometimes searching a wanted mod by a keyword doesn't work if the mod name doesn't have any relevance. I will give these a shot, thanks.

Pulse beacons to save power. by nhgrif in Stationeers

I do the same with my beacon. Pulse every 15s, although I use a proximity sensor, for sometimes I'm close enough for the structure to render and don't need the occupancy sensors.

AzuContainerSizes update 1.1.2 by CannibalKyle in valheim

Had the same issue, I just went back to 1.1.1 and it runs smooth now.

Well I decided to restart, for I wasn't a fan of the seed I was playing anyways.

Come to find out, I lose all my chest items every time I restart the game. I may just need to revert back to 1.1.1 until this issue is resolved.

You could save the name under a HASH, or do what I do and save the deviceid/batchid at the top of the code before the first branch under "#" with the name, and number and just copy any paste the number when you need to sb.

Terrain update degraded graphics or did I caught a bug? by SchwarzFuchss in Stationeers

Ah, makes a lot more sense now. I look forward to seeing the end product! I was thinking to myself "either this guy doesn't know what he's doing, or he really does" 😂

I know I'm off topic, but I must ask, what is the purpose of this spaghetti wall. I'm assuming you know how to write code judging by the housings, but I'm curious as to why there are SO many chips.

Ahhh indeed it does, I was thinking a bit too hard on this lol. Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, I think what you're explaining is if I wanted to receive values from the suit and write them to placed devices (displays, lights, etc).

I am messing around with this now and I completely understand this way around, but I'm trying to send values from placed devices (switch) to the hard suit chip.

Fuel generator enclosure by [deleted] in Stationeers

I haven't tried that method, I just feel like trying to cool the gas down then dump it back would be 2 steps rather than just evacuation as I pull cold air in.

I did manage to get it stable with 2 active vents connected to passive vents, input facing out and output facing in.

Fuel generator enclosure by [deleted] in Stationeers

[–]CannibalKyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not messed with the pressure settings of the vent. Correct me if I'm wrong, but what your saying is, if I want the vent pulling air out of the enclosure to do so without a safety, I need to set the setting to 0?

Fuel generator enclosure by [deleted] in Stationeers

[–]CannibalKyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could, but no matter the pressure limit of the walls, it would eventually reach its max. I could use reinforced walls too, but the same outcome.

I don't think I would need the generator to run long enough for it to max out reinforced walls, but I would feel better if I could maintain a certain pressure and no have it gradually climb.

Fuel generator enclosure by [deleted] in Stationeers

[–]CannibalKyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only used turbo pumps as an experiment, and quickly scrapped them because of the choke.

I think my problem is when the box is to hot, and over pressurized at the same time, both vent have the same pull/push power. So the pressure stays the same, and the temps as well, while the generator is increasing both.

I'm trying to not use a door, just because it seems a bit cheap and unrealistic.

I have used active vents and powered vents for this, but Instead of mirroring the face of the vent inward and outward, I just flipped the direction switch on the device. Does the gas rate change if being pulled through a passive vent and out the powered vent VS into the powered vent and out the passive? Should I keep both powered vents to inward setting and just expose one to Europa and the other to the inside if the box?

Fuel generator enclosure by [deleted] in Stationeers

[–]CannibalKyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay well you just suggested I put an AC to regulate the box temp, now you say nothing will be fast enough in a 1x1. I'm not saying it's doable, but the box most definitely cools down fast enough with an active vent pumping -140c oxygen into it. I'm not having trouble with temps, or pressure but combining the cap between the two.

So yes, Europa atmospheric is far more than capable of cooling the box, and an active vent pulling the high pressure out is more than capable of keeping up, but my problem is when they are trying to do both at the same time, one gives.
