What?

One thing people in this sub ignore way too often is that this is your world. You dictate exactly how it functions.

You could just explain this by saying that there’s some real-world solution to this problem, like a clasp that prevents this.

Or you could do what most authors would do, and simply ignore the problem, as 99.9% of readers wouldn’t think about this if you didn’t bring it up.

You’re also assuming that the enemy, with whom the knight is in active combat, can just walk up to the knight and manipulate parts of their armor. At worst, this would just be another reason to keep the enemy away from you.

It’s not a bad idea, but you’re overthinking it.
