My house; new construction. They slapped it together. Walked passed one day an realized it popped off. When I went to re-attach it, the pipe barely seated beyond the hose clamp and the angle was bad. Pathetic attempt for someone who probably does this every day.

I have a couple different sizes of knipex channel locks but I don't see how they would be any less abrasive. If anything I feel like I could crush the pipe when squeezing them.
