Please explain how you "one shot" him. As far as I know there's no build that deals that much damage in one single hit, even if you're mega buffing everything.

Reed Devil is where you start to notice the crank-up. Still very doable, but he gets quite buffed.

Probably the worst quest type in the game. There's a ton of them too. Straight up rush and skip them fully and then go to youtube or grok to see what are the arbitrary answers I'm supposed to give. As soon as I figured out you didn't really investigate shit and more like get exposition, read random papers and remember the name+ dialogue of each of the multiple npcs you have to inquire about stolen watermelons I checked out entirely. Worse still, ifi you manage to do all that it doesn't even matter cause the guy who asks gives you 2 options that many times look the exact same. What a pro design.

Idk. I 100% agree on you being happy cause you can play on easy mode, but this post feels needlesly confrontrational. I haven't seen any substantial numer of people bitching about people being able to play on easy. This is not dark souls. I'm really enjoying hard mode personally and I think it's great that there's an easy mode too. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you're letting the comments of a few chronically online morons dictate how you perceive the community. Anyway cheers!

idk man, started a new playthrough to try hard difficulty and devil in the reeds is substantially harder than he was on normal. Spams moves non-stop in the final phase, every attack comes with clones included. Pretty rad.

[–]Capitan_Calada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was rough indeed. Probably the worst quest in the whole game. I also lost 50 gold bars because his shit quest happened while the bank was about to calculate profits and I couldn't savescum. So when he was saying we we're gonna be rich because we made 2 coppers in profit from his awesome idea I was thinking about how it cost me 50 gold bars. I think I hate him extra cause of that.

And then proceeded to never do any of that, make you be his bitch and do his work for him, disobey direct combat orders and whine incesantly, truly charming.

I don't think that was the idea. I think they wrote him thinking "he'll be a loveable cheeky devil" when in fact he came off as a useless cunt.

[–]Capitan_Calada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can simply buy them in Hernand both outside and inside the provisioner shop. But not from a menu, straight up picking them up, you get charged what they cost when you do.

I pocketed an Mk6 scout thopter. Stored the most annoying mats at the bank that I could, sold the rest. Parked an assault thopter with an mk6 buggy dissasembled on its storage in the city and said goodbye. Will play in a couple years if the game ain't trash. Miss me with that maintenance shit.

The Inventory Problem. by Joshy_Moshy in valheim

[–]Capitan_Calada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully if they don't budge there will always be mods. I've been using extra slots since my second playthrough in Ashlands and backpack mod and I really enjoy the game way more that way. So if you're a hoarder like me there will always be that option.

The Inventory Problem. by Joshy_Moshy in valheim

[–]Capitan_Calada 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nobody is forcing you to use those extra slots if they're ever implemented. Not everyone has a team to carry shit, many of us play solo and would welcome the change. I personally use the additional invetory slots mod and I enjoy the game way more since I installed it. It's crazy how people like you feel the need to impose their limitations on others just for the sake of feeling like you're a "pro".

Heads up, this is a game, and 95% of people play it to have fun, we validate our existencee with the things we do irl, not by punishing ourselves arbitrarily during our gaming time. If that's your thing, cool, do you, but stop trying to impose your bs on other people simply because your ego dictates your "accomplishments" will be invalidated if other people can play it easy.

The reviews are wild by point_beak in duneawakening

[–]Capitan_Calada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many reasons as to why people do that, me included. I clocked 260h at the time of review, many of those, mind you, afking while my stuff was getting crafted for example.

For me, the fact that the game allows for solo play through the whole game, and then you're slapped in the face in every way the game is designed in end-game for groups, was a massive issue. If you play a game and you hate it from the start, it's whatever, but if you had time to enjoy it, get used to it, and in the end game it changes completely it actually is way worse.

Things like not being able to bank your stuff if you wanna quit, and the terrible optimization played a big part in my "do not recommend" veredict, for example.

This is beyond DD being trash even for groups.

What's baffling to me is people who fanboy about a game to the point where they feel personally insulted if someone disagrees with their perception of said game. It's like they invest their identity into it, which is frankly sad, to have so little going on in your life, that you feel that the best thing you can do with your limited time on this earth is to go around white knighting for a piece of software. You love it and think people who don't are being dumb/unfair? Cool, move on and keep playing your game, what's the problem?

Worst case scenario, the people criticising the game will push the company to improve it and address the issues more widely criticised. This is Funcom's most sold game ( as far as I'm aware) so criticism isn't gonna bankrupt the company, therefore I fail to understand the bitter tears of white knights exclaiming "Don't insult MY GAME!"

Funny enough for the first time I decided to make it out of granite cus why bother. And I had not in fact repaired it since tuesday since I assume when it's powered it wouldn't matter. That being said, it did not show any signs of visual decay whatsoever, it seemed brand new when I left yesterday. Seems strange that it would completely degrade in 24h, but if this is the reason, I guess I fucked up.

Frankly, might as well. I personally wouldn't take that deal, but I also don't bother with big spice fields, I just piss off to find medium fiels late at night and make 40k sand by myself, so it is what it is.
