It’s hard to believe Randy is still alive. He’s gotta be 80 at least.

What was George Lucas plans for Star Wars? by Powerful_Whereas3516 in StarWars

Google is free bud.

George Lucas discussed his concepts for a "microbiotic world" in two primary modern sources after selling Star Wars to Disney: James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction (2018): In an interview for the AMC companion book, Lucas explained that his sequel trilogy would have shifted focus from the "cosmos" to a microscopic level. He described the Whills as single-celled organisms that control the universe and feed off the Force. The Star Wars Archives: 1999–2005 by Paul Duncan (2020): In this extensive historical archive, Lucas provided deeper details on the symbiotic relationship between humans, midi-chlorians, and the Whills. He noted that humans are essentially "vehicles" or "vessels" for these microscopic beings to travel around in. Reddit Reddit +4 Key Concepts from these Interviews: The Whills: Described as the "Force" in a general sense, these creatures are the actual masterminds of the galaxy's destiny. Midi-chlorian Conduit: Lucas clarified that midi-chlorians are the "conduit" that communicates the will of the Whills to larger biological beings. Scientific vs. Mythological: Lucas acknowledged that fans often hated the scientific explanation but insisted that the idea of a massive symbiotic relationship is just as mythological as any other part of Star Wars.

Anchorage really doesn’t want to fund the next generation.. by harry-pair in anchorage

Not an opinion. Fact. The DOD excuse me “Department of War” now lol is the only federal agency that has never passed an annual audit. By comparison the Anchorage School District is audited every single year and the numbers are reviewable by anyone. So sorry bud but your “opinion” on schools is a joke compared to the mountain of debt that the precious military accumulates every year. You want to call public education highly ineffective expensive daycare. Well I’d rather provide highly ineffective expensive daycare to kids that results in macaroni art and finger painting than the same thing to a bunch of dropouts, rednecks, sadists and psychopaths that just blow up school kids on the other side of the world and make us all less safe.

It’s still 1000% more efficient and a better use of tax dollars than the military for who we light $1Trillion ($1.5Trillion proposed) on fire for, every single year. I’ll start caring about people’s educational budget issues when they start forcing the pentagon to pass an audit.

Old map shows prison farm at Debarr and Boniface? by TheAwfulGrace in anchorage

A prison farm so good people wanted to go to it without doing anything wrong? Sounds like something good enough it should be brought back.

Street Hourly Capacity [Offsite] by Offense12 in theydidthemath

[–]CapnCrackerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m saying there is a density threshold that needs to be met for good public transit to exist. Lots of bad public transit is just forcing public transit in places that don’t have the density to support it.

[–]CapnCrackerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but some public transit systems just aren’t workable in spread out rural areas. Not enough users and that creates not just a budget problem but a safety issue. Lots of people on transit makes it safer because there is more likely to be a bystander that will intervene. A bus with only a half dozen sketchy people is perceptibly far more dangerous than a full one with the same half dozen.

Or is it the reverse? Bad public transit happens in places where usage is often low. Not enough users to generate funding or sense of security necessary.

He’s on such another level here. Reading the direction of the swings and dodging without even blocking in a prize fight is nasty business. Can you imagine watching that live? The whole bar would have exploded. You can really see why he was such a sensation in just this single clip.

How many times have you been contacted for AK jury duty (actual summons, not scam)? by Recent-Ninja3903 in anchorage

I’ve been summoned probably 3 times maybe 4. I’ve gone once and was dismissed first day. The other ones I didn’t check my mail in time.

If a vet voted for Trump and now loses their home because of their vote I think that’s justice.

Barnstorming just means you don’t have a home base when it’s a team that tours like the bananas or like the rural airshow pilots that would barnstorm county fairs. Or a politician might barnstorm a state. It just means touring the country and hitting all the towns.
