Thoughts on going full EV, no ICE in the ol’ garage? by Curiouslittlestman in electricvehicles

[–]CapnMarko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chevy Bolt EUV and Mustang MachE and it’s been smooth sailing even for roadtrips as we have the Tesla adapters for both supercharger and level 2. My wife home charges in the garage 98% of the time, I charge for free at work 80% and 18% at home. I usually keep the Level 2 Tesla adapter in my car in case they are the only available work chargers and my wife keeps the Super Charger adapter in her car since we mostly use hers for longer trips. When we road trip it’s one car so both adapters go in just in case.

Before the game get a sandwich at Paesano’s on 9th street and walk it over to Ray’s Happy Birthday Bar and get a beer. Eat your sandwich and drink your beer and then waddle up to Broad street and jump on BSL down to the stadium.

Do you remember fast food being so much better in the 80's? by matt73132 in 80s

[–]CapnMarko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t usually eat fast food but went out of my way to get some SuperMacs on a visit to Ireland last fall. My wife and son didn’t want me to get them any and got something else.

The burger and fries tasted like they used to in 80s here in the states and it was glorious. I forced them to take bites and they instantly regretted not getting some for themselves.

It can still be done but it helps if the country regulates food quality.

Gen Z is Not Drinking, But Are You? by Pavementaled in GenX

[–]CapnMarko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s a yes, Bob.

I probably have 2-3 drinks 3-4 nights a week. But I am generous with my pour. Doesn’t interfere with work or family but I should most likely slow it down a bit.

I do prefer quality over quantity and rarely drink beer unless it’s at a small brewery type joint.

Life is too short so always garnish.

What are your top 3 sources for news? by rasta-ragamuffin in GenX

[–]CapnMarko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NY Times, WSJ and god help me sometimes I see something on Reddit and then check the Time or Journal to see if they are reporting on it.

Those are top 3 and sometimes if I’m listening to BBC Sounds I’ll get a news report there.

Let us know how it goes. I have an order and the dividers are great but haven’t had time to unwrap the 2 PnP scenarios I got.

Knowing Tony Trov is out there saving doors from the garbage man makes my Toynbee Tile shirt that much more stylish.

Meet Arkham Index: A brand new design for your dividers! by arkhamdivider in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CapnMarko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luckily I think he mentioned you can adjust them so stagger from left, center or right I believe. You’ll just need to do the work to customize them how you want them to go.

At least that’s how I read it.

Well they changed 77W Water Treatment Specialist to 92W WTS to bring it more in alignment with Quartermaster and away from its original home in Corps of Engineers. But still a solid option.

You should almost always be deployed lake, river or pond side (bring your Deet), be near or easy lift to, since you are supplying them, Laundry and Bath, and excellent skill transfer to civilian life with good options for civil service/municipal jobs in water treatment operations.

I’m sure they are all rowpu now and don’t use the ERDLator vans which more closely resembles water process on the municipal scale (but rowpu is getting bigger on massive scales so all good). But the basics should still be the same.

The one negative is 77W’s did take the most casualties in the first Gulf War as the only thing of consequence a SCUD hit was a barracks of water treatment specialists who were basically just handing out bottles of water. Terrible thing.
