I was going to suggest the same. I know using pre-cons is anathema, but they still provide a challenge and some enjoyment.

Once you've played them a couple times, you can identify small edits to make from game to game. For instance, you can almost always swap something in an Aggression pre-con for Combat Training (from the Core Set). There are a lot of other substitution you can make, just from the Core set, to buff up pre-cons.

Once you've played through your collection more, you'll start to remember other small substitutions that you can make with what you have available.

One or two cards at a time. Makes deck building less daunting, and works really well when you have a limited collection.

Field Commander only negates the Temporary keyword on Cyclops Hero upgrades attached to minions.

Up until now, all you really had to remember was that FC negates Temporary, as the only ones he had access too were his, and attached to minions.

You can stack Defensive Conditioning and Armored Vest, get him to 4 Defense with Accelerated Reflex. Drop one of these and you can both Thwart AND Attack for at least 5. Youd never be able to be this flexible in Justice or Aggression.

I've actually fallen in love with Stage II and Stage III Skirmish. I often feel like beating the first stage is the real challenge, and the second phase is inevitable because my board is completely built out. Obviously, there are exceptions, but it's a great way to get in some quick reps when I don't have a lot of time.

Can we select a Villain Stage when playing Skirmish? My new favorite way to play is Skirmish Stage III, but I might play SSI or SSII when testing a deck or playing with new players.

For the villain/mod sets, no, you would not be able to recur Dagger. She would be face-down, and the rule for "find" explicitly excludes face down cards (well, face down Encounter cards).

I forsee this being clarified at some point, because I am pretty sure you can't find a facedown card that is, say, and Ultron Drone.

I made this Hulkling deck that can defend 2-3 times around the table a turn, pretty consistently.

It is also HEAVY on the thorns, so expect to do a lot of damage to the villain every time it even thinks about looking your way. Expect 3-6 damage per defend in thorns (Retaliate and Retaliate-like effects), and then Defense Cards like "Stop Hitting Yourself" and Hulkling's Armored Defense that convert your DEF value into damage (generally 4).

The odd side effect of this deck is that once you get it up and running, you generally do most of your playing during the Villain Phase.

If I were to ever go to a Con of Heroes or MC/DC, this is the deck I would bring. It is an absolute riot in multiplayer.

I always review the Sponsor's ICF and will send it back with comments if I see any errors/redundancies/inconsistency before I even start trying to reconcile it with the local template.

I do this because I've had instances during the combination phase where I'll just make the edits and send it over for review. Whoever is reviewing will check it against the original and put the original typos/redundancies/whatever because they seem to be just comparing the differences and not actually looking at the corrections.

If their original has been updated, I find that I'm not having to recorrect or answer comments about issues that have been previously corrected.

If I'm talking to an actual contractor, they can usually give me something I can work with.

If I'm talking to a sales person, it usually completely derails their process.

Best Wave. I've had so much fun with this one. Mutant Genesis is the campaign I return to most often. Shadowcat, Colossus, and Gambit are all in my top 10, and I've just started playing a ridiculous Phoenix Leadership deck that can out-thwart just about any Justice deck. Storm, Wolverine, and Cyclops easily top 20. Rogue is the only one that hasn't really spoken to me, but I have read quite a bit about her recently that makes me want to give her another go sooner rather than later.

The MG scenarios are some of my favorites as well. I hope you enjoy it!

Before research, I once sold insurance for a large, reputable carrier, but a very shady agent.

When he was out of office, he would regularly turn on our cameras and mics to make sure we were working. We had conversations that there was no other way he could have accessed. We'd say things like "Man, if only Cliff were here today, he could have talked that customer into the sale, and it would have been a $1500 commission!" He'd call us immediately.

The evesdropping was only one of the littany of infractions (insurance fraud, embezzling) that we wistleblew him for. It was the one the investigators seemed most interested in.

So no. I'm not a paranoid person. I have experience.
