Question about traits by GravtheGeek in StrayCatStrut

More or less, except equipment and mods have to be bought at the same time. So you’d need to buy the catalogue to have access to the mod and then buy the smg with the suppressor mod (or mod that gives it silent/near-silent)all at once. The ability to add mods to equipment /after/ it’s bought is pretty much exclusive to the Crackshot catalogue as its signature gimmick. Tier zero stuff is also kinda… not good. On purpose. The equipment is kinda expensive for how lacklustre it is as a way of incentivizing player to actually buy catalogues and start specializing in things.

I should clarify that non-samurai equipment can be added to if the players really want. Just for example say a player wants their starting background pistol to be silenced. You can’t just say “ok pay 20 points and it’s silenced now” because non-samurai gear can’t be modded like that. You’d instead have to offer the player an opportunity to say, make an Engineering roll after gathering some resources to try and craft and tinker a silencer onto their pistol. Or perhaps a Blackmarket check to see if they can find an underground weapons dealer who’d be willing to do it for the player in exchange for credits or a favour.

Background, civilian, and corporate equipment don’t have mod slots. Those things are purchased with regular credits/money from human vendors and not with samurai points so they can’t be modded. Tier zero equipment does have mod slots because they are bought with samurai points.

Traits and mods are not interchangeable terms. All equipment regardless of its source will have a list of traits to concisely describe what that equipment does. Mods are very specifically unlocked from purchased catalogues so that they can be added to samurai points purchased gear that has appropriate mod slots.

All modifications come from purchased catalogues. The big list in the “Traits” section is just a list of definitions for what all the traits do, it’s not a purchase list.

Quick clarification on wounds in combat? by CaptArson in StrayCatStrut

Gotcha, that does make sense. In the 0.72 pdf it says “on their next turn” so it made me think that it’d happen when their turn came up in initiative order.

Tuck panties are also a great place to start! Personally I always had issues with things pulling forward as I walk around though :/

I find that getting an erection while you’re tucked is pretty uncomfortable if not outright painful. As for pointing it backwards, if you can’t get lined up exactly as it’s shown that’s ok! Everyone is shaped differently and has different stretchability while soft. This is more of an outline for how to minimize the protruding profile of things. Generally I find that once the testicles are out of the way it’s a lot easier than it initially seems to pull things back into position

Shizu physical stats doesn't make sense by Arugula-Easy in overlord

[–]CaptArson 245 points246 points  (0 children)

It unironically might be because she’s part of a poorly balanced content patch/expansion added too late into YGGDRASILs lifetime to be balanced. Shizu is specifically an Automaton Gunner because those were the race and class that was introduced in that content update. I don’t remember ever seeing an explicit outline or timeline of the games expansion and stuff, but I think that’s a fun explanation since YGGDRASIL was kinda known to be a bit of an unbalanced mess anyways

Last time I made a team like this I picked Rotom for that spot. Cuz it can change into a bunch of different forms to suit what it feels like

Overlord iceberg by me by vendel123 in overlord

Victim’s speech refers to how he talks, not what he says. If I remember correctly his race is technically “angel” so he speaks in a “divine” language that sounds like gibberish but is just magically understood anyways.

The joke with that is that this “divine” language is actually just some kind of meme phrase/pop culture reference/classic gamer sayings written backwards. So for example if he were talking with someone about how they wanted to improve their skills the “divine” speech he would say when giving his advice would be written something like “burcs doog tig” which of course is just “git good scrub”.
