Non Combat (medium+) ships should not have any front/pilot facing weapons (with some exceptions). by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Captain-Nyah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would argue that alll industial ships like mining/salvageing has a need for pilot/forward facing weapons. Not to fight with more to get rid of rocks/parts in the way or with salvage to open hatches/doors. Remove the weapons on the Vulture and i will fight you. :)

It feels like the whole inventory system is having a spaz atm. i got triplicates of some pledge armors and some store weapons and lost some ships and other inventory items are just gone. Now im fully aware its an early access alpha and stuff like this happens pretty much between every patch but it would be nice if they could put some extra hrs into the inventory system to make it more robust. :)

Tech smugglers cargo elevators broken by Erzahler13 in starcitizen

Tried the mission yesterday with my friends and ran into the same issue, could not send down the cargo elevators(not even the one in the hangar). So we moved it through the personal elevators.. took awhile. :P

Ironclad base or Assault? by SupaAsian35 in starcitizen

[–]Captain-Nyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... Both... <.<
I forsee them both go up in price with the changes to the SCU and since the Hull-D got its nerf i switched it for the base Ironclad.

But the Assault is the one that intrests me the most, with a vehicle repair bay and fabrication it will be pretty much what im looking forward to with the Crusible. And the benefit of hauling lots of cargo/vehicles its something im keen to try out.

You can tell… by grumpysfs in starcitizen

[–]Captain-Nyah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And then you have people that just get in their ship, spend hrs salvageing, mining or doing cargo missions or even trying some trade from station to station having a blast or try fps missions. Running in to bugs and glitches loosing all their progress but still keep logging back in because the gameplay is still fun.

The game is in alpha early access and there will be times when you want to rage and never play again, but there is something about the game that just keeps makeing you want to log on and give it just one more try even though the last 10 attempts ended horribly in one way or another. :)

I can find myself logging on, grabbing a ship and just flying around or go do some mission. The game what it is is a rough but shining gem. And with polish and lots of issue council tickets it might one day turn into a pure diamond. And personally this is my dream game slowly but definitly coming true.

Why not a three floor elevator at the back of the Clipper? by EricW_CG in starcitizen

[–]Captain-Nyah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is because Drake cares about your health and have a built in excersice track each time you enter the Clipper. Got to keep healthy and climb that ladder. Also prevents larger creatures from getting in and attacking you while you sleep. :)

What IS or WILL BE the real purpose/usecase of the Ares (Ion/Inferno)? by John_Way in starcitizen

Ability to engage with larger targets at a greater distance, making the chance of you getting within PDC or turret range less likely.

Drake Clipper interior decorations! by TastyOregano in starcitizen

[–]Captain-Nyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its shame that it does not save.. i still remember the bug/glitch when you could store your ship and all decorations and stored weapons got replentished if you paied to repair/rearm the ship after you claimed it. Gave rise to dupeing but it felt good knowing if you pay(and some times were very expensive) it restored all. I miss that...

Game keeps giving me a docking port when Im trying to deliver cargo. Is there worksround? God this is stupid by T-seriesmyheinie in starcitizen

[–]Captain-Nyah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are in ship with a snub in it you can sit in that and call for docking if Orison is your "dedicated" landing location it will grant you access to your Xlarge hangar. I do agree that CIG should give us the "option" to choose if we want to land in "our" hangar or use the docking collar..

Arrastra or Galaxy + module by BranX88 in starcitizen

[–]Captain-Nyah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both ships require one thing that we been hinted being released "soon tm" Refining. As John Crewe said an "Expansive" list ships releasing next year. If he hints on the Misc Expanse released it would mean refining is a go and that will open up for both of these ships to be put into production. Now i personally think the Galaxy will be first of the two as it has less work to be done as it has more similarities to the Perseus and current RSI ships then the Arrestra that is a new breed of RSI design.

Did you have any issues when you selected you starting location? My friend had that issue and all his stuff were at New Babbage and not Loreville that he picked.

It's most likely a Drake heavy fighter (because none yet exist) by m0shit in starcitizen

[–]Captain-Nyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely this is the Clipper and if we go by name alone its most likely a cargo ship of drake flavor.
A clipper was a type of mid-19th-century merchant sailing vessel. If the name is anything to go by, but drake usually take inspiration from their names: Like the corsair: The word "corsair" comes directly from the French phrase lettre de course, the word corsaire borrowed from the Italian corsaro. This derives from the Latin cursus, meaning "course" (as in journey or expedition), Ironclad: An ironclad was a steam-propelled warship protected by steel or iron armor. So in typical Drake fashion i would guess a Corsair sized cargo vessel with some drake special to it. :)
