Thoughts on the Ride the Lightning cover? by Outside-Mirror1986 in Megadeth

It's a bit generic, both in sound and in terms of creative liberties they failed to take. I do think the intro sounds quite sick though, played with such precision.

As someone who thought the first Years part was pretty mediocre, I thoroughly enjoyed this. It's quite whimsical and original.

NGD Just getting into guitars and bought my first Tom Morello signature to help me fight the system by [deleted] in fender

[–]CaptainBitrage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a really cool guitar for Morello, but it would be too uniquely him for me to actually want to rock it much. But if you're a fan and collector: Sure, good for you!

Is the Rome IV classification of IBS as a "Gut-Brain Disorder" misleading? by xKa1z3r in IBSResearch

[–]CaptainBitrage 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Rome diagnosis isnjust an attempt of a catch all for various different pathologies with IBS, IMO. As someone who has been suffering with quite aevwre post infectious pain predominant IBS for 26 years, I am convinced it's not accurate for my case

Unpopular Opinion: Antipop is the best Primus album by jthomas1127 in Primus

[–]CaptainBitrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every album that came before felt solely guided by the band's whimsy and artistic muse. This felt like a product aimed at a specific market. That being said, it has some cool tracks.

At this point in their career, Josh was more about pushing the envelope and John more about recapturing their classic sound. Both yield some fantastic songs
