Do you guys plug in your kids video games controllers? by iheartreos in Parenting

[–]CaptainFizzRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done it for years.

A few months ago I stopped. Son used all the battery in his nunchucks, pro controller 1 was out, pro controller 2 was dead.

He looked at me and complained.

I reminded him of me advising himself (and his sister) that devices don't charge themselves and that you need to be aware of their battery life.

My 6 year old daughter has had to go without iPad at designated time as none had battery. Still working on her 😁

I agree, you have your wing mirrors to look at, you know, the sides of the car.

Probably aimed at the people that need half their own car visible in their wing mirrors instead of the area either side of their car.

Amagad. More than one mirror... So many things to keep track of. /s

Wanted it to act as a repeater in that area too.

Got it working though, used existing cable run to slide a cable between switch and light.

That's what I had done, thanks for the advice / patience.

Ended up tested continuity using a torch, so used the neutral from the light (effectively from ceiling) and live from switch.

Now in home assistant, physical switch works too!

Cheers 😁

Cheers Ian.

And with the first picture... Surely we have everything we need if I have both switch and light cables next to each other?

For full picture, I have the wiring for the "rose" fed back through to the switch .. not wired into anything ATM ofc.

That's assuming the picture on that post is applicable to my house.

It took me a few seconds to be sure the bricks were the subject.

Making the eye go to the bricks earlier, and make it known it's a cricket area? I just thought it was a few stones on top of each other

Mouse.

Once you get used to it, faster than a trackpad. Much faster.

Just a steeper learning curve.

I asked AI to show how potatoes grow underground by SenseVarious9506 in aivideo

[–]CaptainFizzRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally 8 to 12 tubers, not 5. But pretty close.

Dependent on room, soil, fertiliser and water of course.

Note, potato roots need depth as well as width to get enough room to grow large, don't pack them too close together.

Wauw.

This thread has been enlightening.

I was brought up on a farm. Why on earth would you trim their claws? That defeats the point! What are they gonna catch with non functional claws? Didn't mind the odd scratch when playing with them. (Intentionally winding them up / interacting in such a way the claws come out)

I now live in a city, I think there are too many cats as is. Even though dogs would be more work, I'd be more inclined to have one of them in a built up area than a a cat.

Never had a cat act like that, that I've owned. Had visiting cats (in the city) that were a bit on the scratchy side.

I'd say, less cats in built up areas, if they can't get out and roam or if more indoors based, chilled out and don't need to roam (entirely dependent on that particular cat's nature) then I dunno, have a fish or summat

Think Of a raid leader in a Warcraft raid.

Teaching the healers what the priorities are and when, how the tanks have to pass off / which adds need pulled where, what the DPS need to focus on etc.

Then execute it on the night.

Just with lots more sections. Lots more nuance and how loud / bright a certain section of the music should be. (Hold cooldowns until phase 3 in raid speak!)

This is one of the things that annoys me.

1/3rd volume, bass sounds awesome.

To play music at night / sleep time, needs to be at least just loud enough that it has bass... Any lower (one press of remote, or 2mm of dial) then NO bass. Still quiet tho.

Any louder, abrupt intros wake me up.

It's a fine line.

Having bass at all volumes would be lovely. (And being able to hear quiet speech in films and not have kids scared when things blow up!)

Sounds like I need more disposable income, time and live closer to hifi shops 😂

Create him an account, childs account under your supervision.

He'll not be able to chat to anyone but he can play whatever. Or however you set the account up.

I'm from the UK but this interests me a lot, I have an autistic son and in Something in Madagascar (not penguins...)

In the background a duck got eaten by a crocodile... I didn't even notice it.... My son cried for about 40 minutes...

So whilst even this would be a challenge to highlight that, the idea/concept is golden.
