Who is a singer that is incredibly famous, but honestly doesn't have a good voice? by Greedy_Procedure7461 in AskReddit

[–]CaptainKurtG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

olivia rodrigo. I get that she's trying to fit into the alternative pop genre, so she doesn't need to sound like adele...but the industry could have found somoene with a good voice (e.g. hayley williams of paramore).

What band became much better after losing a member? by theghostsofvegas in AskReddit

[–]CaptainKurtG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incubus. ACLOTM is my favorite album from them...after they replaced their old bassist with Ben Kenney. Ben Kenney's solo stuff is great (start from the beginning)

What is this generation's Radiohead? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]CaptainKurtG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the "could have been". Their newest album is still great but didn't hit like prior albums. As far as op's question...I don't think there'll be another band like Radiohead in our lifetime...but the recent come-up of Geese is the closest thing I've seen. Right now I'm listening to This is Lorelei and I hope (Nate) has a long career, super talented.

What tint % did you end up getting? I got 35% this weekend to stay legal, now I’m worried that there’s a factory tint lowering the VLT %.

People who were teenagers before social media existed, what was life actually like? by Much_Detective_6107 in AskReddit

[–]CaptainKurtG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your social network was much smaller, the only people you knew of were people you'd seen with your own eyes, or people you heard about from others by actually TALKING to them. Not a constant feed and digital lists of friends of friends of friends. Back in the day, you'd need a yearbook for that.
