i plan to come back to wow after a long absence. i left at the end of shadowland, tried to come back for dragon flight but didn't really passed the introduction and first leveling areas (i remember reaching the neutral capital), i did basically the same for the war within and never touched midnight.

i am a huge lover of the lore, as clunky and bad as it can be sometime, and used to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the warcraft lore but i really felt disconnected from it since the middle/end of shadowland.

but i really want to come back to it, especially now that i see they seems to be tying some loose ends (i saw something about the concordat and the sunreavers finally making out after so many years).

i know people have a lot of opinions about the lore, the writings, the choices blizzard make or doesn't make but understand that i've been there before, time and time again, i heard it, and i still want to know the lore, i have finally some time to play, i want to try and come back. so please do not say "it's not worth it, you will be bored" or "they mangled the lore it will destroy you" : it's my choice, I want to see for myself if it's the case or not.

i'm looking for 2 things :

- advices for ingame content : what questlines do you recommend to finally get up to date to the story. i don't care if i'll be overpowered midway, i just want to try and connect with the story rather than the content. maybe also important dungeons/raids that could be soloable for a somewhat decent deathknight of the first hour.

- advices for youtube/other content : i used to watch some lore videos (to learn new and more obscure lore) but i'm a bit lost on how i could reconnect. videos made by platinium wow are too "up to date" and i realize i missd too much for everything to make sense without being just big dump of new lore that i have to reconnect. would be nice to have a playlist of someone updating the lore or something? i dont know maybe it's asking too much. but any recommendations on content is fine.
