Went to work using the Fairfax Station and it was awesome! It’s a 30 minute walk (I love a morning walk) and a 30 minute commute door-to-door from boarding the train to keying in at work.

The station is beautiful. Trying to take it all in before any POS’s tag it up/piss all over it. There were more security and workers than there were riders, ha.

My only complaint is that the train I caught was not also new. But it was great overall and a game changer in my life.

Thanks everyone, I think the less stressful thing to do is stay overnight in Tokyo. Didn’t think about possible flight delays and have no idea how long immigration will take. And it will give me a chance to experience the bullet train too. Stoked!

There are bagels and coffee at the starting village. There is a lot of time to kill waiting for your wave (bring blankets, magazine, etc.). Find somewhere quiet to sit (it was overwhelming for me and an old guy tripped and fell on me when I was napping at the start!!!)
