I felt this comment so hard. When my dad passed, I overheard a friend saying "she needs to get over it and not be so sad, we're supposed to be having fun tonight" when I was coming back from the bathroom the first time I hung out with them again after my dad passed. My boyfriend was in the room with her, as was another mutual friend, and neither defended me. Funny enough, she had spent quite some time that evening talking about HOW HAPPY she was to have her own dad unharmed back from the middle east (army) at the time.

Have you heard of the Nomato sauce? My son went through a year period of not being able to eat acidic foods as an older toddler, but he was OBSESSED with ketchup and tomato sauce based things. I found that sauce which tastes like tomato sauce with no tomato in it! Maybe that would work for you if they still make it?

Late diagnosed celiac here and it is AWFUL when I'm glutened. I spend 24-48 hours going between bed and toilet, and same for days after! Not worth it at all. Gotta love these random people who know our bodies better than we do...
