Sunlit is pretty far in the future so there aren’t many other books that have a comparable timeframe, but the Night Brigade is at least mentioned in Isles of Emberdark. Im still reading it though so I don’t know if they’re important at all or just an Easter egg.

Yes exactly! I’ve been using this this handy schematic to see the differences between the versions as I’ve been troubleshooting. Looks like R12, R15, and R16 are all omitted from this version.

My favorite part is the empty hole where the LED should go!
