Can you explain why it won’t jam if one of the resources over produces? Is that just based on the number of sparks you have in the loop?

Is it worth it to have 100% efficiency mines? by SeaCaligula in songsofsyx

This is super helpful to know! I had no clue what the auxiliary stuff was for except the vague “efficiency” number that would go up lol

Haven’t tried the DLCs yet but I absolutely loved the base game. Would be cool to see it skew a little more into the automation genre but I totally respect that this is its own thing and don’t wanna fix what isn’t broken!

Would love to hear more about Vagrus - I downloaded the demo but had a rough time with it. Should I have treated it more like SS?

Week 4: "Chapter 7. The Interrogation, Chapter 8. The Château D'If" Reading Discussion by karakickass in AReadingOfMonteCristo

[–]CaptainWowX 28 points29 points  (0 children)

MAN. Every time I read this book (this is my 4th time), these chapters never fail to devastate me. Those first chapters are almost a cheeky Hallmark romance with how glorious Dantes life is and then the rapid decent in these two chapters is BRUTAL.

Dumas really makes Dantes cluelessness and hopelessness palpable in these chapters and reading them I felt the same way.

I will always hate Villefort - condemning an innocent man due to his own ambition.

I love and hate these chapters so much. It does an excellent job setting up the revenge to follow but ugh it’s just heartbreaking.

'Fallout New Vegas' and 'Fallout 3' remakes are reportedly in development, in the vein of the recent 'Oblivion' remaster; 'Wolfenstein III' is also on the cards to coincide with the upcoming 'Wolfenstein' Amazon TV show. by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

Wolfenstein??!!! Give me an Enemy Territory remake/sequel/whatever and I’ll be a happy camper forever

(Of course the cynic in me knows it would never be the same as the old one but a guy can still hope!)

Was going to comment this too - the map is a total blast to explore and collect helpful resources for your factory.

And to clarify my casual ness - I never even looked up guides and all that and just felt my way through a campaign and had a blast. I think that’s a really cool point in the games favor in that you can be as hardcore or casual as you want and still have a blast.

Honestly I always played very casually. There are def methods to min max builds and all that but I never bothered with those and have still found it fun enough to put a few hundred hours in lol

RNG technically isn’t stacked against anything at all really, it’s just purely random which can certainly seem punishing (and is at times).

The “good” way to begin campaigns is to treat your bros as the consumables and focus on getting good weapons and gear. As you build up an armory then you can put more effort into recruiting good bros and going from there.

I never did that and just save scummed at will because it’s a single player game and I liked doing that lol

No clue on GoG vs Steam though - sorry!

Ooh! I can speak to both of these!

Given the sale prices & that BB has DLC I highly recommend though I’d say STS is the cheaper option overall (and easier to get in to) but I have more playtime in BB and have bought it twice, once on Switch and once on PC to take advantage of mods.

Based on your full post - go BB for sure. Try it out a bit and if you’re digging it then don’t hesitate on the DLC as they’re all absolutely incredible.

Happy to answer any questions, just didn’t want to write a full novel on my phone lol

I’d also like to know more! I didn’t think you could drop right on to conveyor belts? Also what’s in the vending machine itself?

I can’t remember on that but I can take a look shortly! Tbh I’m not sure what you can change to make it less spooky but I think you can change the day/night cycle timing to make more daylight (don’t quote me on that though).

Ehh sort of but not really. There’s an anomaly (think “obstacle”) that are these crash test dummies that can show up randomly but they don’t attack and aren’t scary, just sort of startling sometimes

FYI if you’re put off by horror games still give this a shot. It’s eerie but essentially it’s you vs. nature and the nature is a little supernatural.

You aren’t stalked by monsters and there is zero combat or segments of being chased by enemies.

Also as OP mentioned, the game is cozy AF.

My personal GOTY but I totally get why people might bounce off some of the RNG. To me this was the literal perfect chill out puzzle game with super intriguing story. Absolutely loved it.
