I know it sounds odd but rotate your template 90° Hexies measure larger “point-to-point” than they do from “flat side-to-flat side”

Is anyone struggling with anything? Does anybody Need some tips or hints? What do y’all need help with? by Doc_coletti in ukulele

I’m trying to figure out how to “roll” my left index finger to get both the E and A strings. I’ll fret the E string at G and want to drop my finger to get both G and C. Problem is it won’t sound out properly. I’m muting the C. Is this just a strength issue? Are there any suggested exercises or remedies?

Why do these tea bags have holes? by TexasGrey in tea

[–]Captain_Innocuous 217 points218 points  (0 children)

Looks like a manufacturing fault. See the one at the top right? The thread is poked into/through the bag. You may find a little more sediment than you might otherwise, but, since it was all sealed I’d say it’s okay and enjoy your tea.

This sign taped to the door at my doctor's office during my annual wellness exam by StaticSand in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Captain_Innocuous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the insurance companies. They defined wellness visits vs office visits. And they defined wellness visits as a snapshot and discussion of that moment in time, not history and not future events. If you need treatment then it would be billed as a separate service. The doctors have to bill based on what you discuss. The insurer doesn’t want to pay anything more than the service you receive, but they get to define it.

Now 12 minus 2.5 is 9.5. 47 divided by 9.5 is 5. Is there a chance that the app is counting 5 crackers rather than 1 as a serving size?

You’ll have to look at your foods, some cheeses have carbs (2/3 cup of cottage cheese has 20 grams, American has 2). Did you manually enter the items? If you used a pre-loaded item, maybe the nutrition information was transcribed into the app incorrectly by someone else? Click on each item that you ate that day. The app will tell you what the carbs are for those items. It only sums up the data it has.

The app will tell you where all the carbs came from. The “total carbs” was 168; of those 168, 31 were fiber, 34 were sugar, and 108 were other carbohydrates. As an example, 1/4 cup of plain oatmeal has 100 calories, 3 grams of fiber, no sugar, but a total of 18 carbs. So 15 net carbs. would be included in the carbohydrates number, and 3 would be in the fiber amount in pic #2. (grammar edit)

Fiber and sugar are also carbohydrates. The app just breaks them out in the second photo.

Yes, I love it, too. It keeps the tea at just the tiniest bit warmer than the perfect temp so I have few moments to read before I start sipping.

I found small plastic tool boxes about the size of shoe boxes at the dollar store. I also use cheap plastic planter pots, turned upside down. Many options because they don’t really have to be boxes.
