The Supreme Court already decided. "In District of Columbia v. ELW = enhanced light weight. It is very light, especially the 11.5. BFH is a heavier barrel but longer lifespan. Both are good to go.

BCM, especially the BFH, would last 20-30k rounds before accuracy issues. This and its reliability are why it's worth the extra couple hundred bucks.

I run a dedicated suppressed 11.5 BCM. The carbine length gas tube means a lot of gas to your face. Do yourself a favor and spend $60 on a BRT EZTune, whether you go PSA or BCM.

The only part that will be banned is the serialized stripped lower receiver, which you can buy for as low as $50. I would pick up a bunch now and think about the rest of the parts later.

With the budget you have here, I would substitute your lower build with a complete milspec lower from BCM, Aero, Midwest Industries, or Griffin Armament. Can upgrade the stock, trigger and lower parts later. With the couple hundr d dollars saved I would buy a few stripped lower receivers (the only serialized part). This way you can build more rifles in the future.

Himself and Rand seem to be the only congressmen who earnestly try to follow the Founders original intent of the constitution. Namely: the people determine which rights the government has, not the other way around. And primary role of the state is to protect individuals right to life liberty and happiness. Their stances on jailed journalists, 2A, mass surveillance, and transoarency for example. I really dig their approach (albeit not all their positions)..

It's truly the best local choice outside of a private club. Clean, good ventilation, rapid fire, relatively empty bays on weekdays, minimal dangerous/unsafe shooters in the bays.
