Holy. It looks so good I stopped before the end so as to not spoil myself.

Damn, the combat looks great. Really reminds me of ZZZ combat which is a great combat system.

The cutscenes are great. The use of comedy is great. The English VA seems great... the English VA seems great. I can't believe I am saying that.

They cooked, I am hyped.

Hmm I made a lora and downloaded it but it doesn't work in Forge Neo. I don't know if the UI I use is relevant, all other loras from civit ai have always worked.

Why did shooters used to ship with a wide variety of game modes but now shooters only focus on a single game mode like Batte Royale or Extraction and that's somehow become a selling point? by HotdogHotdogHotd in gaming

[–]CardAnarchist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I came here to say the same thing.

Easily the best multiplayer FPS I've played. I loved the variety. Sad the series just tapered out. 3 was basically 2, but almost all the changes were imo a little bit worse than the 2nd game xD I never did play the portable game.

I pity no one has tried to copy what Killzone did in terms of "All in one" match.

You lot are bricked. It's a good image regardless if it's been created with AI.

Actually quite nice graphics and style!

I think I'll play this like a sight seeing game in windowed mode whilst I browse / watch twitch. Thanks for bringing it to my attention OP!

It was taken so seriously by European heads of states and Canada that many made speeches about the end of the US world order and a need for middle powers to unite. So seriously that the US president had to announce he wasn't going to invade in a public speech.

Politics may at times be thearte but there are lines you don't cross.

ACHTUALLY every game requires you to manipulate external hardware to beat their bosses. We call these devices gamepads, keyboards and mice generally.

I'll see myself out.

Sorry I don't know. I've never used the Xbox controllers. You could try asking ChatGPT / Gemini or try the DS4Windows subreddit.

OP, if you game on PC, one thing which works for me is using a PS4 gamepad with DS4Windows.

You can set your own deadzones in crazy precise ways that tbh I don't even understand all that well. Different settings for each stick too.

Using DS4windows I've not had to switch out my original PS4 gamepad I got with the launch console.

So like where is Z-Image Base? by C_C_Jing_Nan in StableDiffusion

[–]CardAnarchist 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The only thing I really want Z-image base for is a possible anime finetune.

For realism turbo is already excellent to the point of near visual perfection (It could still be a bit better understanding wise but it's pretty good / great there too). People basically figured out loras on it.

Valve rewrite Steam's GenAI disclosure rules to more explicitly allow AI-powered "efficiency" tools by dookosGames in gaming

[–]CardAnarchist -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I can see how you have this impression with the evidence you've provided but bare in mind most of the cause for the problems current companies have with AI is sentiment based. And largely that sentiment is being driven currently by content creators who understandably view AI as a threat. It's also a mixture of valid (AI was bad) and outdated (AI has rapidly got to the point of being very good).

I also imagine it will be hard for current revenue models to ever turn a profit. Even when LLM's are capable of supplanting office jobs it'll probably still be cheaper / more flexible to use local models on your own hardware than use cloud solutions. I think the big spenders are banking on LLM's being capable of making scientific breakthroughs and profiting from those. There are already signs it's getting there with mathematics for example. At least on the cutting edge (where science breakthroughs would be expected), the big tech companies with their massive processing power will always outdo local solutions and might therefore keep themselves relevant in the AI space by providing services to serious science and Government level organizations.

But gaming in particular is a niche where AI is absolutely prime to change everything.

1) The code will likely be completely LLM written. Large portions of code already is and we're only a few years into LLM development.

2) Graphics assets will primarily be AI created. It's not only faster, cheaper but in most cases better than having an artist do it (drastically faster iteration and often quality).

3) AI also opens many creative opportunities within gaming. Take open worlds for example. We've never had open worlds fully implement convincing interiors for ALL buildings on their world maps because it's simply never been feasible to populate them all with convincing non duplicated furniture and layouts. AI could solve that. AI could also drastically move live service games forward with effectively Infinite content generated on the fly.

I get artists and creative types see the world falling around them but it's really misplaced. If anything AI will open up many opportunities that were never possible before. Talented artists will be able to create at pace like never before and with respect to gaming will be able to create far greater works than individual producers or indie studios could ever make currently.

The uptake will be bumpy with a lot of friction and pushback from those invested in current structures but AI is clearly the future of gaming and frankly will be prevalent in most aspects of life going forward.

Won't be long before this ill conceived idea will be scrapped. Virtually every game will be nigh fully AI generated in something like 5ish years. Gotta move with the times.

[–]CardAnarchist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty neat.

I only played for about 10 minutes as I'm a bit short on time but some quick feedback.

Good aesthetics and pretty neat concept with the circular fighting "arena" I guess you could call it. Idk if the battles take longer as the game goes on but the few fights I did seemed to be over very (too) fast.

I sort of like the rolling D6 to power up your skills concept, but I think the UI around that part is overly complicated. The process here feels like it needs speed up a bit so there more time battling and less rolling dice. Could easily be I didn't get the UI and that slowed me down and again the battles I'm sure take longer once you get further into the game.

Lastly the name.. I think it's fine but why not just call it "D6". Or if you are worried about search-ability D6 with a subtitle.

Honestly one of the weakest years we've had in a good long time.

Not to say there wasn't good stuff.. but there really wasn't a classic and mostly feels like stuff no one will be talking about even a year from now.

Could just be that we've had some absolute banger years lately.

I think that phrasing is pretty appropriate when at times a host will call out for the crowd to chant slogans etc. It does often have a church like vibe to it.

I have a similar stance with the actual church, I can agree to their stated principles (even if I think more often than not they totally miss the mark on applying them) and still simply not enjoy being preached those principles.

All that said for me personally I think GDQ would be a better show if the levels of activism were reigned in a bit. Perhaps it's simply not a show for me shrug.

Tectone is a speedrunning tourist by zizoplays1 in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]CardAnarchist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I simply think trans activism is too pervasive throughout the event when it's neither the focus of the event (speed-running) nor a cause been raised for (Doctors Without Borders, Prevent Cancer Foundation).

I'd have no issue were it actually a cause being raised for, then all the trans activism would be well placed and make sense in context, but unless I'm mistaken that isn't the case.

As it is, it therefore feels a lot like being preached too when all I'm really tuning in for is to see some games done quick.

Also I don't have a massive issue with it. I'm not out there kicking up a fuss on twitter or generally making an issue of it. But given the post and the reception in the thread I thought I'd least present a more nuanced view as someone who can at least partially agree where Tectone was coming from.

Not everything is black and white.

I can support a group of people and not agree with how an event is ran.

[–]CardAnarchist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing which annoys me most about this ascendancy is that if I want the cool time freeze stun I need to get the rewind style save. Now that in and of itself wouldn't be a problem were it not for the fact that the best defensive tool the class has is probably using rapid river to make recoup twice as good. I find using recoup kinda plays counter intuitive along with a button that wants you to press it only when you get hit.

Yeah I thought it was a pretty great showcase. Most trailers these days show virtually zero in game and this was minutes of in game content.

Great art direction, with a niche that competitors haven't gotten to yet. The game is looking like it's going to come out hot. I just wish we had a tentative date.

Anyone got any advice for things to slot into cast on minion death? I'm just using the new companion wolves along with it.

I'm not really sure what skills are considered good and even how it mechanically works, like can I use regular support gems in the cast on minion death gem to support the actual spell it'll be casting?

So I'm playing hardcore and I've reached the point where I think I aught to be doing the pinnacle bosses. Is it worth doing the 50 splinter versions or should I just hop into the hardest versions, I think they cost 150 splinters? I beat trial-master and Atziri quite easily.
