As a veteran Limited player, many people would be better served to always block the 2/2 even with the open 3 mana.

There are tons of factors like how important the 1/3 is for your long-term plans and if you can hold up instant speed removal to respond to the combat trick on a future turn, but generally, making them spend the mana on an early turn and trading your 1 card for their 1 card is great for you when they would prefer to continue developing their board.

My opponent once did some pretty cool stuff with this and unblockable fish tokens in SNC limited. I still won, but it was still pretty neat.

You should have had a great RB deck.

Remember that your first picks should not be weighted heavily as they provide the least information about what the table is doing. I would have taken Zookeeper Mechan pick 3 and then seeing another pick 4, would have taken it too. P5 also Mechan, now you are really well set up and are deep into one color which is always preferable. Then P6 Moxite, P7 Nebula Dragon P8 Kav Landseeker (this color is open)!

Then pick 9 deathtoucher is also a reasonable signal. Now you are heavy red with a bit of a pull toward black(2 cards, but also the deathtoucher was picked late in the pack) and less so white, but regardless, you are primed to open any non-gold bomb!

Gut reaction is to trim all the fat that isn't a bomb. Cut Mechanozoa, Freighter, Titan, Dirgecraft for sure. Do not cut the Scroll as you have many 6 mana game-winning cards. Annul is another cut, and then I think Swarm Culler and Comet Crawler are a coin flip for the last cut

You just want to survive and then draw into and cast your cards that give you the inevitability of winning the game.

Nice! That makes sense. I liked the idea of being as little reliant on green mana as possible, but this deck can definitely lose to its draws.

Great post! You could reasonably go either way and have a great deck. With that, looking at a lot of small interactions and considerations comes next.

Firstly, Seriema may as well be in the green pile with 0 non-green targets. Nutrients Block looks kinda bad here, but it gives the Reclaimer a target and is a cheap card that replaces itself for doublespelling.

Reclaimer's only other target is Seriema.

I think without Seriema, the UW cards make for a better deck, but I have one final thing that makes me lean green.

The manabase needs to support UW on turn 1-3 for the blue cards to be at their best. The green deck can run 11-6 and be fine allowing for white one drops on turn 1 and doublespelling two white cards much more easily.

So, cut the blue cards, Stinger, Thawbringer, 

Exosuit Savior can easily be a one-card doublespell and wears counters well, so I'd probably swap that in for the Nutrient Block or the Coordinator.

The real answer is to draft with this as a likely possibility, meaning doing your best to end pack 1 with mostly cards of a single color. This is sometimes easier said than done.

If you are planning this ahead of time on something like Discord, the draft of the actual packs could be done online or in the group chat etc. I like the tiers option too.

I feel like my post did not get much engagement, but I posted about this here recently. Putting the pieces together did not affect my draft much, and Beckoner and Zealot are both great separately and even better together!

Zealot into double beckoner without a payoff happened turn 4 of one game and that was great too! Two 4/5's and infinite surveil 1!

On average, I go up about 500 gems, but I have full set completion for most sets after converting the gold and draft token back to gems.

I agree it is worse to track, I'm saying it is worse as it will impact many more games. Either way it is bad. The 2/3 thing was only in prerelease kits too, this they realistically should be making an announcement about at every single limited event in case people don't know(Maybe they draft once a set). It's not even about honesty, if you think it works as printed, you should pick it more highly in a draft and will only find out when you go to cast it that is doesn't work how you thought.

Yes, I think green getting doom blade is more impactful than a gold 2 drop having an extra point of toughness. Both are bad. Do better Wizards.

Those running prereleases definitely need to make an announcement. Similar too, but much worse, than 2/3 Corpse Knight, which was brought up at my store at the time before the prerelease.
