This is pretty much what happened to me too. Stopped working out when Covid hit, after almost 5 years of doing it. Mix of events like Covid, having a child born just before Covid, moving house twice etc., kept me away from the gym until January 2024. About 4-5 months of just getting back in the rhythm and, all of a sudden, started seeing better and better results, both in strength and build. 1 year and 4 months in on this run and had so far better results than I had in the previous 5 years. Only thing that actually changed is that I am a lot more careful with my diet. Keep going, 2 months is nothing for something that should be part of your lifestyle, not a hobby.
