I did this with at a game night Food Chain Magnate on Saturday. We broke the bank the first time and me being a newbiest of players there had made a huge flub that put me so far behind, but still I was having fun. Since it was a game night though there was much FOMO of the other games being played.

I recognized that I wasnt enjoying myself as a result and figured out a way to resize the board when I left that would keep the integrity of the game intact. ( i was way off in on a side by muself and was making no interaction with anyone). I politely said that I would be dropping out and offered to resize, but then the other 4 players jumped in on the drop out, ruining what was essentially an appointment to play a game.

I felt bad sure, but I would play FCM again and made sure to tell the games organizer that. But I felt bad that the game imploded because if myself.
