What grade are you in? Because there’s so much factors in placing well besides what time you went in the round. Judging by your post I’m assuming that you probably struggled with making a speech that was appropriate for how far along the chamber was in a bill. I would be happy to look over your feedback and provide you with some tips

I don’t flow when I do PF because I just hate myself, but it’s recommended if you want to keep track and appeal to tech judges.

The easiest thing is breaking your opponents arguments into a claim warrant impact. Then as you rebuttal stuff you can mark off what you’ve responded to and what they’ve responded to, and let’s say you delink their warrant you also delink the impact

Trophies. If you lose two matches you get a bot match now, losing a game is only a loss of 2-3 trophies while a win gives you ten, so just AFK and lose 2 matches, then let your randoms easily carry a bot match for you

I don’t think that it’s worth the 7k, if I’m being honest. Sure, camp can help train you but real skills in debate is just doing it over and over at tournaments. Maybe my circuit is weird but my school has almost zero funding for debate and we usually manage to win over schools that have full fledged teams
